Lol. That reverse grip doesn't seem that great. I think it's slightly exaggerated. If your opponent waits until you hit the ball to move, it's completely useless.

I agree, I tried it and I also found that you can't properly defend when you're opponent hits to the opposite side of the hand you're holding the racket in, which in the case of Kai, his right side is more vulnerable to attacks.

Last but not least; favourite = Chinen (I actually think the freaky look is cool) & hated = Coach (is a little on the weak side, especially when it comes to the tennis balls).

Good point. I guess he's just very fast or something, so he can manage to catch every ball on his left side. Another problem is that he would have to develop a very strong grip. It's not easy to grip a racket like that. Plus, you have no chance of using two hands in case the ball comes too fast. So for a normal person, it would be relatively easy to knock the racket out of their hand. I guess Kai's just special. Lol.

Well, duh. He uses martial arts. XD

Favorite character for me is Kite. I'm pretty sure that underneath the surface of that evil, sadistic captain is an even more evil and sadistic captain who loves his teammates. XD

Still, I sympathize with the Higa Middle School students, because they have the idiot of a coach to deal with. They're "evil" comes from his influence, since it seems as if he's the one who tells them to do all the coach-killing on the court. They seem kind of desperate to get his approval, because he destroys their self-esteem.

I mean, they went through that Spartan training. That's something to be said for their determination to win.

Yeah..... Their coach is horrible... Its hard to get the approval of a coach who will try to walk off the court when they're losing.... Although I don't understand why Kite had to be so violent. Even if the "evil" influence comes from the coach, as a captain Kite should try to keep that under control, instead of hitting the coach to reinforce violence. That's just my opinion anyway.

I think the reason that the coach got whacked was because the author wanted to show the fat ugly moron what it felt like being on the receiving end of the unfair tennis play. Also, Kite is somewhat obligated to do so, since he and his teammates went through hell training, only to have the coach abandon them.

Even if the coach is "evil", I think that each has his seed of nastiness residing. They make their choices.

When the coach said "Im not finished with you yet" to Ryuzaki sensei, i thought he might do somethign to her at the end of the mataches, so i was kinda 'worried' in a way for sensei, but it turned out to be all talk. He's even scared of a tennis ball for a c.o.a.c.h!

Yeah.... But then again, if the captain hits the ball at the coach for no reason, Higa's coach sort of has a reason to be slightly scared of the ball.
