Thread: PoT Nationals OVA

It's true that there are bits and pieces that are really confusing.

Spoiler Warning for Epi 5: (Highlight to read)

Like that bit in Episode 5 where Yagyuu suddenly appears just before Kaidou's match.

(I'm sorry, I don't know what the hell they're saying coz I still haven't gotten around to watching the subbed version so I'm basing everything on the things I kinda understood from watching the raw version.)

Anyway, in that episode, we see Kaidou getting all erm... weird after Yagyuu says something to him and then the recap of how they met at that tennis game. And then the tennis game they played against the wacko boys who had been punched around by Kaidou from before.

Well... I was wondering since when did Yagyuu have the Laserbeam????!!! He only had the /Golf Swing/ before and how on earth did Kaidou know how it looked like?!

Totally confused on that score~ Can anyone help?

Otherwise... The OVAs are really, really good~ Can't wait to see the next match up~!! It's doubles this time round.

Well, the anime wasnt following the story in the manga and went off to do their own thing and now they're trying to fit bits in from the manga that did not appear in the anime before. They obviously expected the anime fans to have read the manga too, and thats my advice if you want to enjoy it and be less confused.


btw, in the manga it says Kite is known as the HITMAN, but in the anime Kite is known as the KILLER? so which one should i belive?

True say, i shall refer to Kite as the Hitman and not "killer" then. I think "killer" is a bit of an over exaggeration, like Yuuta Fuji with his "Left Hand Killer."

Yeah...and killer sounds umm..criminal-ish.

hitman sound much more realistic....killer is just well, overkilled...

did Kite bleed in the manga like he did in the anime? IT was kind of emotional at the end when one of his teammates comfort him ='(

Yup~ He was. Then he got all creepy and yelled out Tezuka's name. (Chapter 171, Pg 10) ><"

Did anyone notice that from some angles, in black and white, Kite kinda looks like Tezuka? o.0" Have a look on Chapter 171, Pg 9... Or is it just me?!
