I don't remember that either. It would be nice to know that the two captains will play each other.
I kinda want Ryoma and Kintarou to hurry up and finish, so we can see whether Rikkaidai or Nagoya wins. I hope they'll show a little of the Rikkaidai vs Nagoya match.
Actually, I think it could be in episode 178 of the anime when they were starting the nationals, which may not have occurred in the manga, and if it doesn't exist in the manga, i'm just going to disregard that promise altogether.
Oh! Hm. Maybe it was, but since it wasn't in the manga, it could be completely made up. Chances are it was. The anime strayed more and more from the manga when the showed the Junior Invitational.
so like, who thinks the rikkai vs nagoya will be detailed, like thats what the next 20 chapters will be about?
^^ Nah I dont think that will happen. Rikkaidai's match started when Fuji was playing Sharaishi so Im guessing by the time Ryoma and Tooyama finish their one point match Rikkaidai will have advanced already or we will be seeing Sanada or Yukimura play to push their team into the finals.
I don't think that either. Especially since three matches are already finished. Man... Nagoya is obnoxious. I'm hoping Rikkaidai will win.
There is one very basic reason why Rikkaidai can't lose:
Yukimura hasn't played yet.
I mean, for God's sakes we've only been hearing about the stupid guy since chapter 100. Konomi made a huge deal about his surgery and Rikkaidai played their Kantou final so emotionally- "This win is for Yukimura"
Actually it was funnier in the anime, Sanada was like "If I lose this...Yukimura might....die"
Anyway, we've heard ABOUT the guy for over 200 chapters, he's not dropping out.
And he's the best player in Japan.
I agree its definitely been a build up to someone from Seigaku playing Yukimura in the final match.

Hm.... We'll see. If he has a really good match against Nagoya, then maybe Rikkaidai will lose. But then again, that would be a horrible way to show Yukimura's first match.
Who do you think is playing Singles 1? Sanada or Yukimura?
