Thread: Yukimura?

So what are your expectations of Yukimura? we've heard so much about him but never actually saw much of him...

So what do you think ? - like in terms of skill, personality ( the kind friendly captain or is he more like Sanda?), the One whi would finally bring Chibi back down to Earth... whatever you expect or want him to be like...

i'm expecting him to be good, better than sanada, or atobe or even tezuka...heh...friendly captain?!? hemm....i think he is more like fuji, not neccesarily sadistic, but a quiet danger nevertheless, after all he has to be respected if he is the captain...even sanada respect him...and the way he knows the outcome of the atobe-sanada match if it had continued shows that he knows his stuffs....so yeah....bringing down ochibi?!? well, i hope so, i'm hoping that ryoma will have someone he can look forward to beat in the future, not just tezuka or nanjirou

And are you forgetting that if Rikkai loses, it would go against basic drama in the story? It would be so ridiculous if they lost to a random foreign team.

As for Yukimura. It's pretty apparent that he's one of the best, since Rikkai was the best ranked team. And he's definately very gentle and kind, but it seems odd that he's like that, and his team is quite the opposite (except Yagyuu ;D), so maybe there's a dark side to him. =O!

oh, i didn't forget the other team....but i'm more or less confident that rikkaidai will pull it through...after all, if they lose it will be so random....

Yuki at the hospital and Yuki with the rest of the team when they're practicing seem to be like two different people.
One seemed gentle and kind and sorta lonely ( maybe coz he was in a room by himself) ... but the other Yuki seems... i dunno... he'll give you a cold stare if you say something stupid, like in a no nonsense type of way

Yeah, Yukimura seems like a no-nonsense type of captain during a match. He berated his team even when they won in straight sets because they lost a few points. @_@; Still, he's easy going in general, I think the strict part is just his way of pushing his team to do better.

In terms of ability, Yukimura is definately one of the best. Rikkaidai were already dominating the Kantou tournament long before the terrifying trio joined the team, but Rikkaidai's back-to-back national titles coincided with their joining. Incidently, it shows that Rikkaidai is much more objective than Seigaku when choosing their regulars, since Yukimura, Sanada and Yanagi all played as first years, while Tezuka and the guys had to wait till they were second years, though Seigaku's policy changed after Tezuka took over the helm.

By the way, I'm curious about who Tezuka beat in the Rikkaidai match last year. It could have been a senior player, but imagine if it had been one of the above mentioned 3.

my expectation of yukimura is he has to be damn powerful.. and his moves better not be stupid ones..

to see is to believe. everyone expects a lot from him. about his dual personality, maybe he also transforms when he is on the tennis court or holds a racquet. fuji undergoes transformation when his friends/family get hurt.

Yukimura is a playable character in the PoT game, "Form the Strongest Team". He has like 4 or 5 moves, and they are all pretty cool. They all are "Secret Balls", sort of like how Hiyoshi has the "Okuden" moves. They are pretty cool, and I have to wonder if they will be his actual moves. We'll have to see.
