Idk.... I personally would be perfectly satisfied with the ending even without Ryoma getting all the glory. In the anime, they had Ryoma beat Tezuka near the end, but they didn't even show the match. They showed maybe 1 point or something, and then they said the score. Bleh....

I agree. I was not clear how Tezuka got beaten. It was iffy.

I know... All I know is that I was really pissed off because Ryoma does not deserve to win. >.<
I say that the two buchou's should play each other if Rikkaidai plays Seigaku. Just like I thought that Tezuka should have had a rematch with Atobe. Yukimura vs. Echizen would just be really boring because Echizen would find some amazing way to make a last minute comeback to take the win. Yay Echizen...... *waves flag half-heartedly*

Yukimura's got them sad eyes that makes you feel "aww" for him. >_< makes me sick.

Aww. I think he has pretty eyes. ^.^

Hey...in Rikkai...if Sanada is the 'Emperor', and Yanagi is the 'Master', then what's Yukimura? (I don't think that it's the Queen...and Atobe called himself the 'King'...so...)

Lol. Good question. Supreme ruler?

If Yukimura does live up to the hype and does end up being the best junior high tennis player (better then tezuka, chitose, sanada, etc.) then maybe he could be called "GOD" of junior high tennis. lol
Ryoma is my favorite character in the show, I would like him to play Yukimura. He could probably open the last door of MUGA while playing him.
Ofcourse if Tezuka ends up playing Yukimura I would be just as thrilled. The two captains facing each other would be amazing.

I still say that Tezuka should face Yukimura in the finals. The captains should play each other.... Seigaku wouldn't bet everything on a first year.... That is, if they were a normal team..... Even if Echizen was far better than everyone else (which has not been proved), they usually wouldn't put a first year in the singles 1 spot. The last normal lineup was against Higa.... Since then, Ryuzaki-sensei has been on crack; forgive me for saying that...

Yeah but thats the thing, they are NOT a normal team. lol
Look how good they are and they are freakin junior high students.
I dont think its fair to place the blame on Ryuzaki-sensei. The match against Hyoutei was probably played out like that because TEZUKA wanted Echizen to face Atobe. In the anime ova 8, we see Tezuka talking to Oishi and Ryuzaki-sensei about Singles 1. The ova has not yet been subbed but it seemed like Tezuka did NOT want to play in singles 1 and Oishi was upset about that.
And now in the match against shitenhougi, Ryoma is in Singles 1. Im sure that has something to do with what Chitose told Tezuka. He told him that Kentarou is the closest to "Pinnacle of Perfection" and not Echizen. Tezuka has ALOT of faith in Ryoma so he likely told Ryuzaki-sensei to place Ryoma in Singles 1 so he can face off against Kentarou. Chitose did tell Tezuka that Kentarou would be in SINGLES 1.
I don't see Tezuka complaining about not being in Singles 1, like I said he has an immense faith in Ryoma's abilities and knows if it comes down to singles 1 Echizen can come out on top. He wants Ryoma to be the Pillar of Seigaku and wants Ryoma to face the best opponents.
I remember while Ryoma was playing Sanada (manga) we see a flashback of Tezuka talking and saying that when he played Echizen he sensed something enormous in him (samurai spirit). Something he had never seen before, if Tezuka says something like that about a player you know its serious. Ryoma has not opened any of the doors to MUGA yet he is still such a dominating player.
Ryoma's potential is beyond measure.
