Thread: Sports Anime

Apart from Prince of Tennis, are there any other sports animes out there that are as good or recommended?

Slamdunk, definitely. Ippo (boxing). Striker Hungry Heart (soccer).

Eyeshield 21, although you may find the manga better than the anime, I watch both though. Although nothing like POT, I recommend it if you like a bit of comedy on the side. If you are considering it my suggestion would be to try the manga first to see how you like it.

Whistle was a pretty good soccer one. It was relatively short, compared to PoT, but still good.

Can Killing be consider to be a sport too?
