    Default Do you possibly think...

that Sanada and Yukimura could be a doubles team. Now, I know I'm jumping to conclusions, but I think there could be a possibility that these two could be a doubles team. I'm just basing this on solely one reason and that is their name. If you combine their name, you get Sanada Yukimura, who was one the greatest samurai during the Sengoku period. I know that would be stupid, especially in the nationals where they need Sanada and Yukimura to play as singles against possibly Tezuka (or Echizen) and Fuji, but it would make sense a little, don't you think?

I noticed the name connections, actually. =D Sanada Yukimura of the Sanada Cavalry...yup. They would make a really awesome combination, I would think. It could very well be, but I would think that since they are both so good, they would be in singles. I'd like to see them in a doubles match though, definately.

you never know, Sanada and Renji are both great singles players but yet they played doubles together against Fudomine so yeah. This won't happen, but what if Fuji/Tezuka vs Sanada/Yukimaru??

True, their names are derivatives of the historic Japanese war hero, Sanada Yukimura. A brilliant tactician and expert in the art of war, he almost led a successful campaign against the then-shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. He is ultimately betrayed and meets a tragic end.

They might be awesome as a doubles team (shades of synchro) but I don't think Rikkaidai will use their strongest players that way. Not unless their opponents will complement the said line-up (say, Tezuka/Fuji tandem). Problem would be aside from Akaya, who will do the singles?

If Sanada and Yukimura do play doubles, You can bet on them being one of the greatest doubles challenge in the entire story. If they do that basing it on the war hero.

well it is possible they put them in doubles. they could allot the players to win both doubles and singles 3 in a no contest format.

I don't think Rikkai Dai would underestimate Seigaku that much after their last loss, even if they have Yukimura that time. Though I too would be excited by the idea of a Sanada x Yukimura pairing, I think it would be a serious rip-off when considering we could instead have 2 really good singles games with them. Also, if this pairing happens (Yukimura x Sanada v. Tezuka x Fuji, or woud it be the Golden pair?), the single matches would suck after that (aside from the possible Echizen v. Akaya matching).

i think they will make an awesome double team cause they seem to know each other well, but yeah, i a gree, don't think they would be pairing up anytime soon, especially if they are meeting seigaku in finals...

*sigh* Totally agree with you on that one. They seem to be friends, so I don't see why not doubles partners. But I don't think Rikkai Dai would blow out their two best players on one doubles match. That would be an interesting match to watch though. Tezu/Fuji vs. Sana/Yuki! The Ultimate Doubles Showdown!!!!! Although it will probably never happen. Like Urameshi-sama said, the rest of the matches would be really boring after that match, if it happened. Lol.

i don't think they would do that.. why would they waste the chance of having to be able to 'secure' (i'm guessing this is what they're thinking) two matches instead of one match..
