I voted for Tezuka. Even through his injury, he supported the team and frequently checked up on them through Oishi. He also cares for the team and is thinking of Seigaku's future, which is why he works to train Echizen. All the other players also respect him a lot, which makes for a good captain.

lol yeah gotta agree with you bout him being spoilt! Rememebr the time when Sanada was just about to slap Renji and he just butt in >_< He's TOO brave to do that, not even his sempai's planned to do something like that.
In a way i think the relationship betwen Sanada and Kirihara is like Tezuka and Ryoma... maybe Sanada doesnt show that much that he cares for kirihara but to me there's some kind of "hidden friendship" between them.

I do not think they were crappy. They were jsut freshmens at the time. And plus these freshmens had lots of heart (way more than you could say about Horio), so it was likely that they could make vast improvement over the year.

You are right about that. Sanada does care about Kirihara. This is clearly shown in the anime when Sanada wanted Kirihara to "Grow" as a person.

yea your right about that, but im going on the fact that fudiomine was unseeded and tachibana has a lot to contribute to their sucess... more than most of the other captains...

I refuse to accept the anime as evidence in any argument. It's thePoT anime... which is good enough an argument on my part.

Anyway... I voted Tachibana. He raised an unseeded team of sophs (ALL SOPHS) to the Nationals. Let's see some other buchou do something that great. [Also count that he all but coaxed 2 students into getting the Wild Animal aura (only Tachi's should be called a lion, IMO)].

As if it matters? You can clearly see it in the manga too.

I am going to have to say that Tachibana takes the title. He originally had a violent play style; so, he changed from that, becoming strong without having to hurt people, and took all young players to the nationals. Now that is truly something.

I noticed that many say Yukimura, but I have to disagree for one reason. The fact that he let Kirihara play in the way that he does. If he were a proper captain, he'd probably ask Kirihara to advance beyond having to do that, and help him to grow as a player. But he didn't. =/ I dunno...

I agree with you there, but another thing that kinda bothered me was the fact that he criticized his team even though the completely overwhelmed the other team. I think they deserve at least a sliver of praise. >.< "Your movements were terrible." The captain should be so harsh with the bad stuff. The captain is supposed to be encouraging....
