I was also insulted in behalf of Atobe when Tezuka chose to be in S2. I mean it'll be a boring match since we know who'd win but still... that was a blow in Atobe's ego!

Anyway Hyotei match-ups were ridiculous, but I think it was at least a bit reasonable when it came to Shitenhouji. Tezuka was in doubles sure, but it was just Konomi teasing us. The eventual lineup (i.e., chitose playing) was still heavenly.

So here's to hoping that matches against Rikkai will be saner. No, perfectly reasonable. Or maybe destined to be.

I thought that Atobe would have thought Tezuka was avoiding him. I don't know if I would be insulted. I'd think he was being cowardly if I were Atobe. *shrug*

But yeah... I thought both the Hyotei and Shitenhouji matchups were ridiculous.

I'm hoping that the Rikkaidai matchups will be normal, but the trend doesn't look good. Oh well. There's still hope. I didn't expect Konomi to let Tezuka win.

I've considered the whole Tezuka losing possibility but I don't buy it. If Konomi just does that to make Ryoma replace him as the pillar, I'd rather just bench Tezuka.

I wan't the manga to actually show that Seigaku as a team proved their worthiness to be the #1 tennis team, not just that they lucked out and got some super rookie on their team and made it to the top. The matches always come down to Echizen; for once, I want to see it come down to someone else.

I don't think Tezuka would lose either... If Ryoma's Tezuka Zone was enough to throw off Atobe's World of Ice, I don't think Tezuka would have that much trouble.

I want to see the match to be decided on someone else's match, too, but Ryoma is the main character.

I voted for Tachibana. It's impressive for a student to pick a number of other students, rebel on the club, form a new one and reach the nationals quarterfinals doing it all by himself.

I guess. I kinda had a bias towards Tezuka and voted on that. ^.^ Oh well. It wasn't Tezuka's fault that his team was good to begin with. He just didn't have to do much.

I voted Tachibana on this poll too(a long time ago, near whenever the thread was made). Even though I like Tezuka's personality and skill better, I had to give Tachi credit for the same reasons as Ravsieg.

True... But I guess it depends on the team. I'm curious how Tachibana would do with a team like Seigaku or Hyotei.

Probably not as good. He'd need to stick his Beast Aura to get respect around amongst those strongest teams, and thus he'd lose a lot of reliability.

You could ask that about all the POT tennis captains and you would get the same answer for every captain for every team: not as well.
