    oh.. blind spot or whatever.. it's really the same concept..
    you can't see your blind spot so it's still hard. and there's more then one blind so you don't know exactly where it's gonna be hit. even so Atobe decides before he hits it on a blind spot for where you are at that time so i don't see how it can be avoided by predicting.

    Yes. Normally you can't tell which blind spot he's going to hit, but with the Saiki Kanpatsu, you can. PREDICTING OPPONENT'S MOVES! Meaning, you know which blind spot he's aiming for. Meaning you know where to swing. If I knew exactly where the ball was going to be hit, I wouldn't need to see the ball either.

    This is hard ^^;;

    I’m very tempted to choose Tezuka but…I’m going with Tachibana this time ^_^

    My basis is a very thin line between the two. I just had the impression that Tezuka’s always been captain material ever since freshman year but Tachibana, for me, was a little brash/aggressive (it was mentioned somewhere—manga or anime—that his style used to be like kirihara’s? maybe violent?). So, he was the type that one wouldn’t expect to be a good buchou—a player, yes, but not a captain.

    Yet on the contrary, it turns out that he’s got what it takes to be a respectable captain—he’s got the skills, he draws out the best out of his team and in turn earn their respect. Not that Tezuka can’t do this but I guess it’s the “who-would’ve-thought” factor of Tachibana that made me choose him ^^;

    I respect Tachibana for that. At least he felt guilt for what he did to Chitose. Kirihara doesn't feel that way at all. >.< I don't really like that about him. He's the only regular that's not a third year on Rikkaidai, right? I think he's going to be such a bad captain next year.....

    ^ Ahh, you reminded me about him and Chitose, and when Tachi didn't take advantage of his blindspot during their game in the Nationals (but getting hit in the eye was too much ^^; ). Maybe that's why I'm ambivalent with Atobe vs Tezuka since the former intentionally prolonged their game to Tez's disadvantage, BUT then, it IS a strategy to win -_-. But hey, if you can't win clean, play smart and slightly nasty? ^_^ Anyway, yeah, Kirihara is the only junior in Rikkai and most likely to be captain. Maybe Yukimura will do something about him or maybe towards the end of the series, he'd have some kind of epiphany and realize the kind of buchou he should be. *shrugs*

    kirihara need to be shaped before he can actually take the rein...in fact none of the second years are currently set to take the captaincy after the third years are graduated....i know how they say that hiyoshi is set to become the next captain, but i don't know, i may be bias, i think he's not really going to become a good captain...~shrug~

    ^I can see Kirihara and Hiyoshi taking the reins of captaincy pretty easily because a sophomore Atobe would probably be a little like Hiyoshi, except with more relative skill and a pet Kabaji. Seigaku's captaincy is probably be most vague, and I really would hate it if Ryoma was made captain. I mean, he doesn't even know how the normal 1st year junior varsity tennis team works. Captaincy should go to those who know how the teams work. I'm hoping for a Kaidoh and Momo cocaptaincy.

    I think Ootori would make a better captain than Hiyoshi, but he may be a little too soft. Then again, Hiyoshi doesn't seem very social. *shrug* Maybe they could co-captain.

    For other teams, I think Kamio's the best choice for Fudomine. I'd pick Momo for captain for Seigaku.

    I think Shinji would be a more level-headed captain for Fudoumine, and Tachibana always set him up as a contender for him in the matches.

    Hiyoshi isn't social, just proud, arrogant, and skilled. A perfect Atobe successor. Hiyoshi is a better singles player than Ootori and the hardness he has will make him more compatible with Sakaki than Ootori.

    I think Kintarou could become captain b/c he so obviously tops his team.

    Shinji? He seems more in his own little world. Kamio's more down to earth and I think he has more initiative.

    I guess so. I like Hiyoshi, but I just think Ootori would make such a cute captain... Okay... Bad reason.... Maybe vice-captain for Ootori?

    Kintarou is such a spaz.... I don't know about captain for him.. He's good and all, but not exactly captain type.
