To me there were some things in SH2 that should've been carried onto FTST, mainly the players that were absent in FTST and the way Beautiful Technique A and Beautiful Technique B were, that's why at times I prefer to play SH2.

Okay, that explains Harukaze's demise; by suicide, guess he couldn't handle the pressure of a close match. As for Hiyoshi, at least he fought to the bitter end. Jackal? struggled against Ann? LOL, he's sure to have lost a lot of dignity there. I have no doubt Atobe will crush him in the third round, plus I got my money on him winning the tournament.

Just saw the results for the doubles 2nd round, and I must say I'm dissappointed with the GP, not even getting 1 game off two of the demons of Rikkaidai. I hearby strip the GP of their title of the GP. Shishido getting knocked out in doubles, and here I was thinking the Shishido/Ootori pair would do well. Maybe he should go back to Singles as he and Momoshiro are like the darkhorses there. Round 3 looks to have some interesting match-ups, namely the Yagyuu/Niou vs Marui/Jackal pair, I look forward to the 3rd round of both Singles and Doubles.

When it comes to weekly training, instead of making your characters do the normal training where you work on boosting their stats, you instead go to the end of the list of training exercises where you can teach your characters special techniques. You'll find them categorised in their types (e.g. There is a list for serve moves, return serves and smashes). As there are all in Japanese, you'll find the best way to know which techniques does what is to go the link http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/game/921213.html and use of the lists to determine find what you're looking for. It should be noted that some moves take longer than others to learn and will require your player to train in the move for consecutive weeks (note: you may be able to put it on hold but I never tried this as I never needed to) in order to learn it.

When the player has mastered the move, you can add it to their movelist, which appears after the technique is mastered. In this screen you'll see two columns. The larger left-side column has all the techniques your player can currently use and the right-side has moves you character knows but isn't using. You can add the move you just mastered by selecting a vacant-slot and selecting the technique you want to add to their movelist from the right-side column (note: selecting a non-vacant slot will replace the move you had there with the one select from the right-side column). Note some techniques cannot be used without getting rid of one or more other moves due to the techniques being used during similar times, making them conflicting moves (e.g. you cannot have two serves that require you to use the X button). If you wish during this time you can select your other characters and alter their movelist list by using the L/R buttons. When you finish everything PRESS 'start', and you characters' movelists will be registered (pressing anything else like cancel will not register your characters' movelists, be warned).

Yep. The silliest thing was when Fuji managed to put his face in front of a volley from Kabaji to ensure he was KOed while leading 2-0. As for Shishido, it was being balanced... until then.

The result that surprised me the most on this round of doubles was Tachibana and Ishida whitewashing Hiyoshi / Akutagawa.

As for the characters cut from SH2.. yep. Yamabuki's D2 is an unexploited source of comedy, specially Kita with his Horse Sleep and Utter Indifference that completely crack me up. But they've like never shown to be playing on the manga, let alone the anime, so it's understandable. As for Kiraku, he wasn't on the anime and that might have been a factor. But it's a pity, I liked him - and I wouldn't mind some of his Midoriyama counterparts aswell.
The biggest loss to me was Sakurai. Yeah right he has little more than zero importance on the series, but I think it's enough to be more than guys like Muromachi or Kaneda who are still on FTST.

But to be honest, if I could trade this with having the old players and dropping the new ones I'd keep this as it is. Ryo Kisarazu is beyond awesome, Taki is fun to play as and the other Rikkaidai regulars are just that strong.

^Fuji's death didn't surprise me in itself due to having low stamina, but if he ran into a volley, that's just silly.

And how did the Hiyoshi/Akutagawa pair get whitewashed? I thought they could at least get a game off the Tachibana/Ishida pair, guess they're really strong.

Tachibana just wins by himself, Ishida barely does anything. It's weird, but it always looks like he outwits his opponents when the AI was supposed to be at the same level.

how do you know if the friendship with someone rises or drops?
or how much there friendship is..

You should be able to check that out in the status menu whenever you're given the option of what to do each week.

I memorized the essential parts of the line, enough to relate them with friendship, then I hear if the sound is the good or the bad one. xD

What else do i need to look out for, unlockwise

Is there a way to increase the game sizes to 6 instead of three? (for the tournament)
Also..can i somehow keep my player stats in exhibiton?
