No kidding..... I think they want to differentiate the difference between flashbacks, too. Maybe it's to give the effect of "Oh wow! This was a long time ago.... A whole 1 or 2 years!" But what's funny is that there's not nearly as much difference between the 2nd and 3rd years as there is between the 1st and 2nd years.

Fuji didn't grow much either.... He looks older, but I highly doubt he grew as much as the rest of the regulars.

I looked at wikipedia for the info and i did the conversions, but i might have made some mistakes.

This is very true for athletic guys, they hit like a major growth increase in grades between 5th-8th.

I have this guy fwend who was like 5"0 in 5th grade and he turned 5"7 in 6th grade.

Also, some guys are like early bloomers so they start puberty hella early, and that does cause major growth increase. (Tezuka)
I do know some asian guys who are 6"0 in when they are in 8th grade, Im not surprise, expecially the athletes.

Your growth rate will start to decrease when u get to mid highschool year and college years.

In order to know if u grown or not, check your shoe size.

Actually, I think you're a little off on your growth spurt years. Girls start their growth spurt around 5th grade. Guys usually start later. By the time they're about 16, you can usually assume a girl is done growing. Guys usually start growing later than girls do. So it is very unnatural for them to grow that much over 1 year. Especially since the ENTIRE team grew that much in 1 or 2 years. And I'm not sure what you're talking about Tezuka being an early bloomer... He was just as short as all the rest of the first years. He grew just as much as they did.

I though Tezuka is taller than all the others, isnt he like 6"0.

hmm anyways im excited to see how tall ryoma will grow when he enters his second year.

I dunno, when i was in junior high school i see hella height difference between the 6th graders and the 7th graders, so i assume that it was normal.
In high school is where everyone looks the same height.

    Um..... No.... Tezuka's not the tallest. Tezuka's 179 cm = 5' 10". Taka-san = 180 cm (5'11"). Inui = 184cm (6'0"). There you go. Tezuka's not six feet, nor is he the tallest.

Heh... It just might be at your school. It's not normal to have all your freshman be so short..... And all the juniors to be so tall..... Besides, growth spurts usually last at least 2 years. Let me put it this way. Ryoma is 151cm. The average height for the junior regulars is 171.5 cm (Kaidoh's 173, Momo's 170). The average height for the senior regulars is 176. You tell me if that's normal. The difference between the freshman and juniors is 20.5 cm. The difference between the juniors and seniors is 4.5 cm. Not to mention that both Eiji and Fuji are shorter than Kaidoh.

None of them are normal, because there is no way a 14-15 year old "asian" person will be 6'0

Only Inui's 6'. One insanely tall person I can understand, but the rest of them shouldn't be that tall. And it would have been 1 insanely tall person per 5 schools or something.

    Babii-ochibi.... Don't you ever read the other posts? I just said that Ryoma's 4'11". *sigh* 151/2.54= 59 inches. As for you, you're 62 inches. 62*2.54= 157.48 cm.

He might be okay in a normal school, but Fuji's the second shortest on their team. So maybe Ryoma should aim to be a little taller than Fuji.

Ryoga might look like Ryoma, but they act completely different. Their main character similarity is that they're both pretty cocky.
