    Default What's the difference ??

I was wondering.. what's the difference between hitting Fuji's Tsubame Gaeshi/Phoenix Sth.. Echizen's Cool Drive... Atobe's Tanhausser Service.. and Tezuka's Zero Shiki..

All of them will cause the ball didn't bounce... Fuji did it with top spin, Echizen with volley, Atobe with serve, and Tezuka with drop shot.. So in this case.. all of them should be able to perform others technique as well, shouldn't they ?? For instance... Echizen should also be able to hit Tannhauser serve.. (out of SOSA condition of course)

And other question is.. what's the difference between SOSA and Kabaji's mimic ability.. both of them copy their opponents techniques...

echizen's cool drive: the ball seems to be flatter than the ball that is hit by tsubame gaeshi

    tanhausser serve: goes forward
    zero shiki: goes backwards

the whole thing about Echizen doing Tanhauser serve is kinda bullshit to me.. Atobe's hard work and he just does it like that.. -_-

i may be wrong but i guess they're kinda the same, but SOSA requires more concentration therefore the ones using SOSA gets tired more easily than Kabaji

well i think... tannhauser and cool drive both are two powerful shots... and if i'm not wrong Ootori once said when he saw Atobe hitting Tannhauser, isn't it the technique that Echizen used against Sanada ?? (sorry if i'm wrong)...

About mimic vs Sosa... do you mean Kabaji's mimic technique is better than SOSA cos both of them basically similar one to another.. the difference is Kabaji became less tired when using Mimic than any of those using SOSA..

mmm kabaj can only do the techniques that his opponent does SOSA can do ALL of every player you play against

Fuji's Phoenix return spins much faster than his Tsubame Gaeshi and thus drops to the ground faster. Ryoma's cool drive like Fuji uses the opponents spin against them but it's a bit different since it's a volley so I guess you would need to use a different technique with the racket...Atobe's serve takes a lot of arm strenght since he needs to create all that spin himself, which tires his arm out easily. And Tezuka's dropt shot goes backwards first of all, it also puts a lot of strain on his elbow when you put the spin on the ball.

Echizen shouldn't be able to use Atob'es serve, since he doesn't have the arm strength for it...

If anyone were to try and replicate Fuji's phoenix/swallow return it wouldn't work for them...I guess it's because Konami-sensei has emphasised that Fuji was a genius and only he could use that move. Much like why Echzien can't do Atobe's serve for his tannhauser serve...for Tezuka, we've already seen Echizen use his move so I guess anyone can do it if they're good enough and can put enough spin on the ball...I'm not too sure about the cool drive though, but I guess he can do it as many times as he wants...he also has Drive C too....

For the entire SOSA and Kabaji thing...Kabaji's very simple minded so he can easily copy others like the Tezuka zone, where as we had seen Sanada said that even in SOSA he could not copy the Tezuka zone. So Kabaji would get less tired depending on the technique I guess, but also he has to see the move being performed before him in a match...I'm just guessing...but I've never seen him use techniques that his opponent can't use or won't/didn't use.

Sorry if you see any mistakes in there...

Hohou Gaeshi drops faster than Tsubame Gaeshi.

Zero no Shiki is the only unreturnable shot in the series (the only person who can return it is Kabaji, it seems... and Tezuka himself of course).

Tannhauser's just a serve that doesn't bounce. Anyone should be able to copy it if they're strong enough to hit that hard.

Echizen's cool drive is a smash volley, I believe. Remember? he leapt way the hell up into the air to return Sanada's lob. Drive C is just a ghetto version of that. Wait... Cool Drive is another totally unreturnable shot in PoT. Maybe Atobe would be able to return it like he did Tannhauser, but chances are that it would [miraculously] spin onto the racket, fly over the neck, up the handle and his arm, and slap him in the face.

Kabaji's mimicry only works against the opponent(s) he's playing against. He can't hold onto that knowledge for longer than one match cause well... he's a dumbass. Apparently, he's even stupider than Taka is a pussy while he's not holding something in his hand. [it's the perfect analogy... I love Burning, btw]

Haha doubt it. Kirin Drop is for balls that are actually in the air a little bit. Cool Drive is just like... a ball rolling across the floor. Most you can try to do is put your racket down and kick it so it hits the ball and forces it to go over (you'd need one hell of a kick).

Kabaji watches intently what his opponent does and tries to do it himself. SOSA makes the body of a person under it react to shots by doing techniques that the person has encountered and stored in his mind--not exactly the techniques he can perform on normal condition.

Kirin drop is intended for smashes only, cool drive isn't in the air long enough to be returned with that, and also probably would have too much spin on the ball...which would cause the tennis ball too continue moving even if it does make contact with the tennis racket, like in Ryoma's match with Higa.
