Thread: Mini Movie - Atobe's Gift

Anybody else watched this mini movie? The subbs are bad (since there is only one fansubber subbing this movie) but it's better than nothing. The movie's quite fun to watch... Recommended.

Agree that the sub sucks. Kabaji was called Mr. Waldy and Sakuno as Momoko. But it was funny. I think this is better than the movie although the part where Tezuka helped Atobe to cross the finish line was a bit cheesy. I am surprised that a badly constructed archway got through Atobe's watchful eyes.

Happy to note Atobe's soft side despite his crusty surface. Kabaji is really so dense. But I was glad that he finally spoke up and not just say "yes" to Atobe.

Inui and Tachibana should go on business together. Although I don't know if they'll be able to attract customers.

there is a sub for this? where can i download this? i only watch the raw..

other than the names, is it badly translated?

You can find it on youtube.com. The transations are pretty poor, but better than nothing.

Yes the subs are very bad, they make the whole movie seem so dull and boring... but then you get an idea what they're trying to say, and besides after 4 weeks of watching the series, i catch up with "some" japanese they say. And yeah, there are a lot of mistakes but as a POT fan lets not mind!


hahaa if you lot remeber, Atobe actually said he's "fun land" (or whatever they call it) went pretty well, yeah er so apart from the breaking of love matching machines and the finish bar thing breaking and nearly injured someone badly, EVERYTHING went wel huh xD

i think it was really sweet at the end when Kabaji recieved his gift ='( i was emtional... xP

i just watched it in youtube....well, i must say although the subbed is well, a bit dodgy, i still like it!!! who would have thought that atobe is such a 'sweet' friend....ahhaha...arrogant he maybe...but he sure know how to throw a festival...god i wish i was that rich!

By the way, you see when Atobe was talking to the reporter about Kabaji's birthday, and kabaji goes and tell atobe it's his birthday, why did atobe look so "oopsy" ? He had that face like "oh no" and the reporter was looking at him like "¬.¬!" why?! lol

Atobe actually told the reporter that Kabaji was shy to admit his own birthday. Then Kabaji came and said it straight out that it's his birthday......not being shy AT ALL.

Uh, actually, IIRC, Kabaji was actually saying "Thank you...but today isn't my birthday." >_< Then after he pulls that cringing face, I think Atobe says "Just for this year, today is your birthday." (I've seen a differently subtitled copy of that extra movie, and I can understand some Japanese to a certain extent)
