^No, I doubt it. Since nationals the matches have been getting less time than normal. Remember how fast the first matches of Rikkai went? They gave us enough reason to believe POT was ending in 10 chaps at the time...

it's not like i made any comments like maybe the author meant for yukimura to be kikumaru's twin of brother or connected in any such ways, it was supposed to be an english observation with no actual bearing on the manga itself

^Really? I think this match will end within 3-5 chapters, and this will be one of the shorter matches (even for Ryoma). Were already at 5-4 Ryoma as it is. 1-2 chaps till tiebreak and then 1-3 for ending the match, depending on how suspenseful (lol, like there is any uncertainty in the match result) Konomi chooses to make the match.

i think its hilarious at all the ryoma bashing
hes the freaking main character GET OVER IT!!!!
basically whats going on is he never really played tennis for the fun of it up to this point
he was training his butt off just to beat his dad.....the greatest...before he could even pick up the racket with one hand lol....he has been playing longer than most if not all of them
and what even more funny is people wanting explanation for every lil move they do
as if you could actually go out and practice it or something lol most of the stuff is highly exaggerated or imposible for a human being to pull off...atleast in this reality
notice how the higher the level gets the more normal the play looks
look at how yukimura or w/e blasted through all those flash and bang type moves
...with seemingly regular returns....
and now that ryoma is playing his best so far his just "incredible"
its not about the MOVES anymore....which im happy about
cus it was geting corny
nuff said haters

i actually have to agree with you, i personally like ryoma and i have nothing against yukimura too...i have always seen POT as something enjoyable to read during my past time and i guess i had never thought of analysing every single tennis move the players make. Yeah, the moves sometimes sound ridiculous, but so what? this is manga and not real life...even if people sometimes argue that the story must be realistic.

^Yeah, I have long gone past analyzing tennis moves since they're physically impossible and accepting the manga as realistic will hurt you more than anyone else. But even so, the story is nothing special at this point -_-

most of the time people ranting on forums about how ridiculous the moves are actually don't mind them at all, they are just finding something to write about, especially when the outcomes are all predictable and the storyline isn't worth writing about

I don't see what the hate is for... I'm thoroughly enjoying this match. Seeing Yukimura get all pissed off is pretty funny.

I empathize with Yuki more than Echizen, so I can't exactly share the sentiment.
And the reason for my annoyance is that Echizen is just the son of a great tennis player and has basically been groomed for victory. And him reaching his pinnacle now is just Echizen walking the path of his father without actually having to face his difficulties alone or train himself. He has no proactive or endearing qualities and seems to be a pure product of his environment. He has never faced a real challenge considering that he has never lost (while making everyone else lose at least once) and then documenting no personal efforts going into his wins (when have we seen reflections of him working for his matches?).
And Ryoma reached PoP how? By finally realizing that tennis is fun. That means that up till his final training with his dad he won purely because he was groomed for victory. That is why I hate (and bitch).

so just what exactly does hitting waterfalls with pebbles using a tree branch have to do with enjoying tennis?
and how does liking tennis make you able to see a pebble and hitting a boar in the dark??
