but.. lemme get this straight, so to do this 'synchro' they have to put themselves upside down, and then roll themselves, and then jump to hit the ball?

I think the synchro thing is just a joke. Because they have to have this aura around them for it to be considered a synchro. Synchro is like Muga no Kyouchi for doubles so even if they are conscious with what's happening they still have to have the aura like, say, Tezuka who's conscious doing Hyakuren Jitoku no Kiwami but still has the aura around his left arm as well as Chitose under Saiki Kanpatsu no Kiwami.

hm... i dont think they have synchro either... all they do is joke around. also i doubt that the mangaka would have 2 people who achieved synchro face momo-kaido (but maybe konami wants them to be the next goldenpair but they seem more like single players to me)...
also in doubles 2, although single pairings usually dont mean much, doubles 1 is usually better than 2.
