Thread: Rikkai vs. *DONDONDON* SHINTENHOUJI!!!

I've been thinking about this match for quite a while now. For the people who don't know... or don't remember, it's stated to have taken place at the previous year's semifinals.

Just what the hell happened in that match? Rikkai supposedly dominated over Shintenhouji, which was most likely with the skills of the Big 3 as the pillar of support. Chitose was on the team, as was Shiraishi, but even with these superpowers, they got their asses handed to them. The only true facts about this match would be that 1) Shiraishi was [more than] likely Singles 1, and 2) Chitose played a match against Marui Bunta.

Evidence, you ask? Where's the evidence? Well... Inui said Shiraishi didn't play in any of the matches, that he was an undocumented player. And, since he played (or would have played) singles 1 against Fudomine, I just assume that, in all likelihood, he'd be playing singles 1 against Rikkai. As for Chitose, after he initiated Muga, the only skill he used was Tsuna Watari, which is Marui's specialty skill. If that's true, then he either played singles against Marui (meaning Jackal was with someone else, likely Sanada so that they could go against Ishida's Hadoukyuu), or that he played in a doubles match with Marui and some other player.

Thoughts? Opinions? Thoughts about how Tachibana and Fuji return Tsuna Watari?

shiraishi did not play because he was in singles 1 last year and rikkai defeated shitenhouji's first 3 matches.
And i dont recall that chitose was in shitenhouji last year >.>
During that time he quitted shishigaku because kippei injured his eye with his Wild ball technique during an intra tournament

I thought that Tachibana quit his Osaka team or whatever because he did that Freshman year, then didn't play for a while, then came to Tokyo and taught the Fudomine players.

i have to agree, chitose wasn't in the team until recently, if i'm not mistaken...

Chitose was injured when they were in their 1st year. Tachiba transferred to Fudomine the next year. So Chitose could have been in Shintenhouji at the same time but not sure if he played already in their tennis club.

It's the most likely explanation for him being able to use Tsuna Watari. The only person who can watch and use things without having them used on him is Ryoma (he used Kamio's step and Akazawa's Illusion Ball in the match against Sanada).

I thought that was strange but having a flashback, they did train against both St. Rudolph and Fudomine when Tezuka left for surgery, he could have played against Kamio and Akazawa...

Then there's the Atobe match. I read it recently... or at least, I reread it recently. He uses Kikumaru's special step and the Viking Horn. Two moves that he can't possibly have had used on him because he hasn't played Eiji... and Kai just plain doesn't know him.

He has probably trained against Eiji too, and [(LAME excuse...)] maybe he memorized every bit of movement Kai did when he hit the Viking Horn...
