Thread: hikachu's moves were total crap.

Was it just me or did you get the impression that hikachu's moves were theoretically impossible - but rather its just some wierd motion and the player scores points.

I've been getting this quite a lot, like sanada's invade like fire - wtf does that do - aside from hitting a really fast and hard shot? Kai's wierd ass trojan move wtf was that supposed to be? How the heck is Muga muga even theoretically possible - you cannot change spin in midair.

Fuji's dissapearing serve is also on this list - but it does at least have a theoretically possible threat attached to it because of its extreme spin.

Anyways the moves right now are not even theoretically possible - its just the author ran out of his genius and decided to make some crap moves.

it's only a manga.. not all of the moves are real.. the author did not state he wants to make this manga 100% real..

manga and animes are made to get us hooked, interested, and entertained.. so what if some of the moves not real.. as long as we can enjoy the series, that's all that matters right..

No shit its not 100% - but come on at least explain wtf kai's crazy move is. It just shows him doing that move and scoring a point - i hate that.

At least some idiot in the crowd would explain a move but noooooo its just omg lets make something that looks cool and have him score a point.

Hikachu's matches were the least entertaining because it was like omg he use some wierdo move and yay look the game skips to 4-0 Gah omg no rly! Ya Rly No WAi!

I will not diss the so called "land reduction techinque" because it is actually very creative and there are some things like that in martial arts, and how did the retarded captain of higachu score 4-0 on tezuka in a heartbeat? It showed them rally a little then bamn 4-0....

because the author wanted to get on with the story wut hes saying is that the captain did the same thing to score 4 games on tezuka
but what do you mean about controlling the spin in midair???!???

He is using a form of data tennis so tezuka predicts how the opponent will hit the ball so he puts a spin that will bring the ball back to him
Hence Echizen was able to beat tezuka zone by using his right hand which was harder for echizen to control..
In other words... Tezuka zone will suck against a sucky player who cant control his shots

Have you seen the way muga muga moves in air - that type of movement isn't possible.

No offense but that line of reasoning about the sucky makes no sense - it was made up by the anime.

i don't really understand fuji's fourth counter, for that to work and for him to nullify the spin he would have had to have had a complete understanding of how the ball spins so that he could reverse it and make it "flat"

I think this is about the 6th thread in which we end up talking about the imposible moves and how they tend to piss readers off and-...{continues to speak in an emotionless, dissoriented fashion}...anyways It's getting kinda tiring ya' know?

I loved Higachuu's moves. Viking Horn!!! <--well I guess thats my only favorite, Habu is too much, cheap.

Well to me the Higachuu fights was crap b/c they seem to be very one dimensional only having one attack. They use it, Seigaku, after a few attempts, break it, and then they win.

Kai didn't even have a backhand!!!

But I love their captain Kite. He was the one that taught them all their moves. Kite is near the top of my favorite characters. All those attacks = a very good moveset.
