so.. u're saying that the OVA is kind of a bit rushed?

no, ryoma didn't win the u.s.open. he did well, but that doesn't necessarily means that he won the u.s. open. ryuzaki said that "you know you can't possibly win them all", so i guess that means he didn't win.
I don't think the taxi driver said that some kid won the US Open. I think he said some kid did well in the US Open. If he did say "did well," then that means Ryoma didn't win. I highly doubt he won, too, because or else there would be much more publicity.
Naw. I think the US Open might have been over by the time Nationals started. I find it unbelievable that the anime had Ryoma beating Lleyton Hewitt...... Just a little strange. Plus, he would get a lot of publicity in the US if he won. There would be sponsors and coaches that would not let him out of the country. Lol. Not to mention all the Japanese people would be jumping him.
I agree with you guys that Ryoma did not win the US Open - and the taxi driver DID say that "some kid did well" not "some kid won the US Open" - those two are totally different. I also think that if they made Ryoma win the US Open that would be too much - just as Ryoma beat Tezuka >_>
BANKAI! Senbonzakura Kageyoshi
*mutters angrily something about sticking to the manga* Ryoma did not beat Tezuka..... Just like he didn't win the US Open..... Lol. I don't think a 12 year old kid could beat Lleyton Hewitt either. At least they didn't show that match.
