just to explain why kirihara in doubles, its just because i think kirihara doesnt match well against any other single players and he has been tragetting tezuka before...
I agree. Especially with the bit about S2,D1,S1 winning.

I think this is the most plausible. (And you win at life for the EchizenvsYukimura match XDDDD)

Although I don't know who I'd rather see lose:
1] Fuji, who other than his Fourth Counter hasn't really come up with anything new (or maybe I'm just missing a LOT -- haven't been following the manga properly) but I love him anyway. He's been winning at pretty much everything that matters to him, 'cept for that one time against Tezuka in the series (he cried! dear Lord, Fuji Syusuke cried. okay, got teary-eyed -- same principle!). I think it would be fun for him to lose this last match of his middle-school tennis career (eh?), but... Gah.
2] GP, who have to redeem themselves against Rikkai (wrong pair, though) and have developed Synchro (so cool, I swear) prior to finals. Using Hehehaha's logic, they'll have to improve themselves even more during the course of the match because they're up against "Tezuka". I'm thinking a victory like Eiji's Singles2 game would be good. ^_^ This is the finals, ne, so this might be where PoT will end? (Unless some miracle pokes Konomi-sensei into continuing PoT into their highschool years -- yayness!) Let the Golden Pair exit with a big, whooshing, sparkly, loud BOOM! They deserve it for being so amazingly GOLDEN, in *ehem* more than just their tennis game.

EDIT: Okay, I want the Golden Pair to win. *is furiously fighting against fangirly self to prevent posting unnecessary, weird, not-totally-baseless stuff* THEY HAVE TO.

i dont know what to say... but this is my choice

    D2: Golden pair
    D1: Inui * Kaidoh
    S3:Fuji
    S2:Tezuka
    S1: Ryoma

Why? well the golden pair is always a choice too win the first game, inui and kaidoh i think its just because there are awesome XD, Singles 3 is for Fuji, and is againts Kirihara just for revenge, Singles 2 is for tezuka vs Sanada, because thats a game no one ever see so it will be cool and its just like atobe vs tezuka in the kanto tournament.

I dont understand why evereyone doubt about ryouma in singles 1....

its obvius that he will achive the pinnacle of perfecttion in the match againts the leopard´s shirt boys (XD)

and ryouma MUST win the tournament for seigaku...

this is no SLAM DUNK .... they will win....

I think the line ups will be what everyone expects, rikkadai against seishun.

    doubles:
    #2. Kaidou/Momo and Inui against ?
    #1. Golden pair against?

    singles:
#3. fuji against sanda, in which fuji wins 6-0 like in jiro match
    #2. tezuka against ?
    #1. ryoma against Yukimura

now, I didnt post any doubles matches cuz I didnt feel like it (=. and against Tezukas match, well I have no idea. I personally think it would be cool if rikkadai got a new player to replace kirihara to make an all 9th grade team, who is stronger than sanda, but weaker then yukimura. I also think it would be cool, and unlikely like the replacement of kirihara, that all singles and doubles matches are played, even if one team wins 5-0, and Seishun wins 5-0, that would be cool. but I also think it would be cool if rikkadai got a new team captain even stronger than yukimura and ryoma played new captain while tezuka plays yukimura, that way we get the yukimura tezuka match.

(Yeah, Shohoku CAN lose! Don't you think it's kinda weird that Seigaku never loses as a team? *shrug*)

the thing is... all the players in seigaku (except ryouma) CAN lose... so whats the point of it ?

if the mangaka is clever... he will do 2 things...

1: they lose now! (the best of the 2)
2: they lose in the finals against rikkai dai...

i hope they lose.... and the manga end there like slam dunk ^^

but isn't it upsetting if they end it like slam dunk..
in slam dunk they already introduce like so many characters who are in 'national level', i was looking forward to the battle between sakuragi and that huge freshmen, and of course shohoku vs some other teams.. and i also wanna watch sakuragi grow more as a player..

i dun think the mangaka will make them lose now.. cus:
everybody is looking forward to a tezuka match against either sanada, or yukimura, or kirihara

they lose in the finals against rikkai dai.. this one is also unlikely.. i'm guessing the mangaka will want to make Ryoma so big that he becomes 'the legendary freshman' that supports Seigaku to win the nationals..

yeah, and thats why this manga will not be remembered

EDIT: POT is a manga what i like to describe like a "figthing sport manga"...
    My english sucks, sorry :P
is like dragon ball (they figth.... the main charac is the strog in the manga, come one that is stronger, the main charac have a training to become stronger... and this is repeat all over the series)

Another mangas that are the same are captain tsubasa, dear boys.

in slam dunk, all the charac has the same level in all the manga (they improve, but in a realistic way)...

    ______________

in slam dunk, i always want to see the rematch against kainan.... and that never happens...

lol.. i think the DBZ element in PoT is not about the training that they go through, and then winning the match.. cus every sport manga is like that.. but the DBZ element in PoT for me.. would have to be the way that they show the tennis moves..

a good example of this.. 'the movie'

but i gotta agree about slam dunk.. the characters improve in a realistic way.. and gotta love the Kainan match, so intense.. i remembered when i first watch that episode in the anime at the end of the match.. i was screaming.. NOOO!! Sakuragi worked so hard and really outdone himself in that match..

a rematch would be fantastic.. but i know.. it sucks huh.. dun think it will happen.. , instead of pouring his basketball ideas to other mangas such as REAL and Buzzer Beater.. isn't it better to continue Slam Dunk.. wat a pity

I think it would be awesome if it came down to the last match,
Ryoma vs. Yukimura, and Ryoma loses for Seishun 0-6 against Yukimura, or he loses because he injures himself and can never play tennis again. hehehehehehe, I will laugh until I cry if that happens, hehehehehe.
