what exactly do u see in him?

i dun get it.. i know he's the main character and all.. so he's gotta be the most popular one.. but why do u like him?

i personally find him annoying.. no matter how much skills u got, u shouldn't be that arrogant..

and the more i get to know more about Ryoma, the more i dun like him..

I Know it say very clearly "FOR RYOMA'S FANS" but... I HATE him... his an arrogant SOB which Takeshi Konomi takes too heartedly. "He needs to be crushed, doesn't he?".- Akaya.... yes he does...

I realy liked him at first. His cocky attitude was cool when he was beating the ok skilled players. When they made him start beating ppl he had no chance in hell against is where I started to get pist off. Atobe, sanada, fuji, Tezuka(in the anime), ect all shoulda wtfpwned Ryoma. I think having him loose to those ppl would've given the manga more longevity and better character development. To see him come in own everyone, but get destroyed by the best his first year. Then his softmore year he comes back experienced determined to beat those who beat him.

Well to be fair, in the MANGA, Ryoma is only cocky during the match and thats just a psychological tactic....as you can see he isn't cocky at all outside of tennis and thats because he possesses no social skills what so ever. Hell his closest friend and thats only if you wanna say "friend" would be Momo and that's IT lol. Not even those freshmans can be considered a "friend" since there just fanboys and fangirls lol.

I like Ryoma not for the matches against ppl he just shouldn't win like Fuji, Tezuka, and that emperor dude (which I 100% agree), but for his ummmm why do I like him? I mean i don't hate him because of his arrogance because thats just simple tactic and all sports you have ppl who use this tactic so it's not just a made up thing but idk why i like him haha

I like the manga Ryoma better than the anime one. And he DO loose, just not very often. He lost to Tetsuka (in the manga) and he loses everyday to his father. I know he can be cocky and arrogant, but just like Viet Style Asian said, that's only an act. Besides his father doesn't help much to his personality either. He mocks him everyday and tell him that he isn't good enough to tennis AND he won't take Ryoma seriously. That's why he acts like he do. He don't want to feel like a lil boy, who can nothing. He want people to look at him and know he's worth.

I like him because he never give up, maybe due to his pride or what, but no matter how strong the opponent is he never surrend without trying

I dont really like or hate ryoma but i do think he has some very stupid victories, more so in the anime tho. In the manga he did lose to tezuka which is good, and he just barely beat atobe and won coz atobe couldnt serve in time, and he got super lucky with sanada, just when sanada was about to start trying harder and even use the state of self actuallization, ryoma scores the winning point. I dont remember him playing fuji and ending the match.. Maybe thats in the anime but whatever. I hate the anime so far, manga is so much better.

hhhhmmmm, why do i like ryoma? i dont know, theres just something about him.... but i prefer the manga ryoma to the anime one! i dont know, i like his cockyness, and a lot of ppl in the anime are VERY arrogant, so wutever, i dont mind it at all and hes not the most arrogant one out there. i know he wins a lot of matches, but then again, if u think about it, he plays against his dad like almost everyday, and if he doesnt get any better like that, then hes a sorry excuse for a tennis player. and he does loses, he lost to tezuka and sanada (in the anime) and those help him overcome his weakness during the match and he improves himself and i guess it would be warranted that he should win most of his matches. plus, being trained under his dad at such a young age, hes gotta be a prodigy, and he learns to evolve during his matches so that he can try to fix the problem right then and there, instead of losing, and then win during a later match. so i would think that all these years, he would have been able to really hone that particular skill, which, a lot of his opponents dont really have the ability to do that well, which is why he is constantly winning. if you think about it, it would make sense considering the level he's at. anyway, hes a pretty interesting character, i think its kinda cute the way hes not very good at sociallizing, but at the same time he takes care of his friends. its an admiral trait. hes not that bad of a character....cmon, give him more credit.
