Let's see... Firsty, let's now count the Echizen family. READ THE FIRST SENTENCE: DON'T COUNT NANJIROU. And Ryoma is the love of Konomi, so he shouldn't be counted because he is only going to beat everyone sooner or later.

People are saying that Sanada gave Echizen a handicap because he only used 2 of the 4 counters. WRONG. If anything, Sanada was giving him a harder time... He only uses one counter on the people he plays. With Ryoma, he used 2. And Ryoma's win against Atobe... was GAY. There is no way in hell that a freshy could have more stamina than a senior, not even in Konomi's world... or, there shouldn't be.

    With that being said...

    Tezuka // Tachibana.
Tezuka lost to Atobe, ya. But he would have won if he used his Hyakuren Jitoku no Kiwami and Tezuka Zone to change the path of the 'World of Ice'. Tachibana (and I only assume this) beat Hyoutei in the tournament that they played in at the beginning of the series. Also, Sanada and Yukimura aren't up here because A) Sanada is stronger than Yukimura, B) Atobe would have beaten Sanada, C) Tezuka was using somewhat of a prototype (and had the shoulder thing) playing Atobe, D) Tachibana beat Atobe (again, this is only an assumption), and E) we haven't seen Tezuka play against Tachibana in his 'wild beat' aura. (I'd love this match).

Tachibana didnt play atobe. Tachibana played singles 2 during that match. Atobe was singles 1. They won there first 3 matches thus, singles1/doubles1 never played during the match.

They won both doubles against non Hyoutei regulars (Hyoutei did not uses their best payers at all) and Tachibana played Singles 3 against Shishido, who lost because of this his regular spot, which he later got back.
Atobe and Kabaji never played in that Tournament.

I believe Yukimura would be a very strong player though we haven't seen him play yet. He is one of the three kings of Rikkaidai and is the buchou too. And seeing Sanada respct him so much I really think he is very strong, especailly now that he has recovered from his illness.

I don't like Tachibana too much. But he is obviously a strong player. I would like to see him play a match against Atobe, Yukimura, Sanada or Tezuka.

And then of course theres the tensai Fuji Syuusuke. Who we have never seen play to his best, never reaching his limit. Some believe if he had the passion he would be stronger then even Atobe. Not too sure on this one...

Tezuka though right now until I see him play Yukimura, I think he's the strongest. He only lost to Atobe because of the strain he was putting on his shoulder and he wasn't even playing full strength. If you think about it, Ehcizen didn't lost against Atobe because he did something that was similiar to the Tezuka zone. Tezuka wouldn't be affected by Atobe's World of Ice.

Maybe it's just because I hate how Konami-sensei(sorry sensei) made Ryoma win every official match he played but, yeah.

    (slight spoiler)
Like in the anime I didn't like how they made Ryoma beat Tezuka when it was obvious Tezuka was stronger.

Maybe it's because I'm a Tezuka fan. But yes, Tezuka is definetly the strongest player so far. (until I see him play Yukimura)

    PS-sorry about any mistaks you see above, I'm a horrible typer -_-;;

Current Obsession-Tenimyu, Tenipuri, Fuji Syuusuke, Tezuka Kunimitsu and Yukimura Seiichi. ^///^

#2 - either yukimura cause i havent seen any of his powers and that little shrimpy kid who calls echizen the one-eyed monster

@ Mikaeru:: haha... you're right. My bad. IN ANY CASE. Atobe would still get pwned up the haxxorz by Tachibana Kippei in his Wild Lion state. He'd be hitting balls so hard that the World of Ice would be nulled out.

I'm prolly one of the few people to think thta Tachibana is the top player (Tezuka also, but he's not counted because we all know he pwns). He got 5-7 off of the other 'Wing of Kyuushuu' and he wasn't going all out. WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU?! (I think.... that Chitose said that Tachibana didn't hit a single ball to his blind side)

Like I said in my first post - Tachibana or Atobe in a real match of course. Tachibana is stronger than Chitose i suspekt, even as he lost, but he wasnt giving all he got for the win. Atobe is still a very powerfull player so it isnt for sure he would get pawned by the lion state, but yeah duobt he would have the time for his world of Ice - it would be a hard battle between the two.
