Thread: Has anyone watch the OVA episodes

I thought I heard from somewhere that the POT OVA HOT&COOL episodes were going to be released on May 25th >.> I don't remember where I heard it from, but I seem to remember that date for some reason.

I didn't watch the movie yet, I didn't really like the summary about it. It didn't fit my taste, as well as going off of the actual plot. But, I did watch the OVA episode it was kind of unnerving when some parts that Tezuka was suppose to play a part at, Echizen replaced him. >.> I kinda prefered that manga, it seems that anime is going back and forth between being good and being bad.

AH your right, that was the cool drive that he used against Oishi at that match. Hmmm then it will be the same as the manga during the match =D.

I dislike the overdone special effects of the movie but Atobe´s OVA seems pretty amusing. Unfortunately I didn´t find the OVA with subtittles. can anybody help me in this?
The national Champiship´s chapters seem promising. I hope they follow more stricktly the manga´s charpters, the story. But the opening, ending and drawing are much better now.

the movie was such a waste of time.. it was cool seeing Ryoga (ong he looks just like Ryoma, but older) but the movie was sooo corny. plus, how does Ryoga look so like Ryoma if he's just adopted.... the only good thing was seeing Ryoma as a kid.

It would also explain the title - Tanishi's Big Bang being the HOT and Ryoma's drive being the COOL. I hope that they get back to cool drive though and make him "forget' the stupid Cyclone Smash thing... it was just... lame.

Besides, what happenned to Ryoma in the US? The anime never tells. I mean, one moment, he's kicking butt and the next moment he's back. Well, I guess they couldn't say that Ryoma won the US Open since that'd just be rediculous and he'd be famous (AND the US Open wouldn't be finished so soon) ... I guess he lost then. That kind of makes me happy. Kind of.

In one translation of the first episode of the OVA, it said that Echizen won the US Open. Anyone who plays Hewitt in the first round probably can, but still. He'd have to beat Raffy and the Fed. In order to stay realistic, they'd both have to have insanely exaggerated techniques to match up with the 12 year old who owned over a seasoned vet. If they do have these miraculous skills, then Echizen would have no chance against the best tennis players out there right now (Roddick would be worth mentioning right now if he hadn't changed coaches so long ago to start sucking).

I've been waiting for sometime for anime-otakus (the best fansub ever for POT) to continue subbing the series, but it seems to have stopped subbing POT. Does anyone knows any other groups that does a good fansub of the OVA (nationals) arc?

have they release the 2nd and 3rd episode for the OAV?
isn't that the series is now officially licensed in US? maybe that's why they stopped subbing the series...
