The hotspot the Strawhats saw is probably a natural phenomenon. However, I believe it is a symbolic foreshadowing of a extremely powerful DF user.

AkaInu being a DF user is just a wild guess because all we can know about him right now is his merciless and inhumane approach to exterminating criminals. He may be a battle genius, or he may be a DF user, or he may be both.

New islands in the Grand Line could spell trouble for Luffy. A new island could show up which could disrupt the path of the compass, keeping him from ever being able to get to the one with One Piece.

He has Nami who can read the weather. Navigation is none of Luffy's concern.

hey penta, where do we find about his merciless and inhumane approach to exterminating criminals? i've read all the manga and junk, i just don't remember where that was mentioned. thanks.

He blew up the refugee ship from Ohara, just as a security measure to make sure no criminal gets away. I think that's a tad extreme isn't it?

i have a question i am a neewbie. has the One Piece anime ended yet or does it get released every week like naruto. Same with the manga.

you are a true noob. the anime releases every week just like the manga. IF u had watch the anime, u would had known.

If there was a volcanic DF ability would the person control lava or rocks or everything to do with the danger of volcanoes?

When you think about it, lava and rocks are mostly the same thing, just one is liquid Such DF user could have black body of hardened lava with cracks showing the hot magma inside. He would be hard to defeat in melee combat.
