With luffy's speed you say he couldn't dodge it? Usopp is going to be fighting a cp9 member using soru as well, so i imagine he will have a way of dodging it. Not to mention one of the smartest things usopp did in that fight was the use of the impact dial since his new weapon has dials on it, it'd probably be a different story now.
The fact that luffy defeated usopp was certain and we always knew it'd end like that. The main point of the fight was to show that usopp wasn't as weak as we all thought, and what he probably thought. He certainly had a good go at luffy. It was more of a point to be proven than about who was stronger, since we already know the obvious answer, i was still impressed though.
I said considering Ruffys speed, Lysopp couldn't dodge.
I don't think, and actually hope Lysopp will learn Soru. Because in my eyes it would be a cheap way to make him win. Not to mention that it dosn't suit his style. I wanna see him use his brains in order to win.
About the impact dial. He did use it on Ruffy and it had no effect whatsoever. His arm would fall off using it before Ruffy would even say "hey that hurt".
And he did use that gas dial for his super fire attack, which didn't do much too.
I didn't say all that because it was uncertain who would win. It wasn't even a question if he could beat Ruffy. Not without a seastone weapon, and probably not even if he had one.
I said it because some guys got all "that was close. Lysopp nearly won".
Lysopp showed great spirit and managed to slow Ruffy down a bit, for which I give him credit.
But thats all there was to the fight.
Ruffy did go easy on him because it's his friend.
It's not like i made that name up. He is called that way where i come from.
ruffy just sounds weird but suit urself.
And although i like to read it in english thats the way i call him.
Because for me, Ruffy sound better than Luffy and Lorenor sounds better than Roronoa.
So i suited myself
