whitebeard luffys father?

ok iam currently looking for the chapter for the episode "145" where ace meet buggy. currently they resend the episodes in germany and they said "ace is the vice captain from whitebeards crew" and he said in germany "oh you know my father?" (he is meaning whitebeard) so whitebeard= ace father. ace = luffys brother. whitebeard = luffys father?

Could people just... wait and see what Oda thinks up? Sure, theorizing can be fun and all, but I am getting a little irritated of these "Father of Luffy LOLZ" theories.

Aside from that, I'm quite sure that's a mistranslation. All Ace says is "So you know the old man?" Until Oda confirms otherwise, Blackbeard is NOT the father of Ace and Luffy, at least not the way I see it.

That can't be, because Whitebeard was a giant like saul. I think he was a member of saul's family. And of course luffy too, but not his father. i have not seen this chapter in the german TV.

i have heard about this,
in the german Version they made a mistake in the translation,
in the japanese version say something like :
"You know the old man ?"
the old man can be understand as old man or as old man when u mean your own father and call him rude as old man.
The Translator misunderstand this and cause of the unneeded censor of RTLII (a german Television channel, they censored many series without they have to,...),
they often change words to get a nicer atmosphare (like instead i kill u they take i beat u down).
But to make it shorter here i can say to u :
NO Whitebeard isn´t Luffy/Ruffy´s father, it´s a mistaken in the german version from the One Pice Anime (the Manga hasn´t this error) .

P.S. for the threadstarter (i think he is german so i write this for him in german):

Wie schon auf englisch erklärt ist das ein Übersetzungsfehler,
habe die folge zum glück nicht gesehen denn da wäre ich vor wut auf diese schlöamperei aan die Decke gegangen vor allem wenn man bedenkt das der Manga schon lange vor der TV serie in Deutschland in übersetzte Form vorliegt, aber auch wegen der Schnitte von RTLII tuhe ich mir die Serie nicht oft an, wen du mal die Schnittberichte von Anime-Serien auf RTLII sehen willst dann kannst du sie hier nachschauen:

wie bereits schon gesagt RTLII zensiert unnötig,
nur um ein möglichen Diskussion wegen Gewalt aus dem weg zu gehen....

@bluenemo ja ich weiss das war auch nur zufall das ich das gesehen habe. habe mir aber schon fast gedacht das das ein uebersetzungsfehler ist >.<
