Some people also think he's based off of Jim Carey in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. But I personally like simply Popeye. There's a thread just like this a little further down, but with other pirates/marines/minor characters that are based off of real life people.

both of them sort of wear the same cloths and all.... and have a wacky personality... but ace ventura is alot more wacky... cant imagine franky being that wacky hheehe... probably the combination of both ace ventura and popye since both of them hsave a tatoo in the same spt on thier arm...
