Thread: Luffy's Bounty after saving Robin

Probably going to be at 500 million or higher

that is impossible how could there be such a huge hike from 100mil to 500..... i would probably be around 200-300.....

500 million would put him above the shicibuki, which would be odd since he still isn't more powerful than they are. I suspect he will get a bounty of anywhere from 150 million - 250 million. 200 million seems to be the average guess.

o well, yea u are crazy if u said 500mil that is just impossible lol. I't most likely to be around the 200mil but no more than 220mil. My guess will be 180mil.

The bounty on the shicibuki were placed on them before they became the government's dog, so they would most likely have a higher bounty if they didn't become the shicibuki, which means that Luffy could possibly have higher bounty than them. Besides, the amount of bounty only measures the amount of threat that the pirate possess, that they're real strength. For example, Robin, when she was a little, had higher bounty than many more powerful pirates.

this has been debated many, MANY, times and yet people still bring it back and say the exact same things, but is that going to stop me from saying my 2 cents? hell no!

the first thing you have to realize is that the bounty amount does not equal outlaws strength, but their threat to the government. the second thing you have to realize is that no one has ever attacked enis lobby or actually attacked an entire WG island. third, the shicibuki bounties are the amount they were before they started working for the WG, so that means they do not have the highest bounties. so putting all that into consideration i think it is possible for Luffy to reach a bounty of 300+ mil; however, whether or not oda sees it that way is another story.

I say the sum of the bounties for the entire strawhat crew will equal 1 billion beli with Luffy and Zoro obviously having the majority.

I think that, somehow, information on the Straw Hat's recent activities will be somehow lost, destroyed, or unrecorded. If Luffy's actions are reported/understood to their fullest extent, his bounty will be astronomical, as his threat level relating to the World Gov't will rival Bin Laden's danger to the U.S.

EVERY resource they have, every availiable soldier, and all the "lapdog" Shichibuki will have to be sent after the Straw Hats. A crew that can (and will) assault and destroy a HUGE miliatary base & defeat the best of the best in terms of secret agents is such a giant threat that they can't be ignored, not even for a second.

Unless Oda wants the next 5-10 volumes to be a huge, non-stop, story-ending World V.s Straw Hats fight, Luffy & crew will need to keep some level of freedom and anonomity.

200mil - 300mil would be my guess.... luffy's got alot more adventures left in him to be considered the 'most' 'expensive' pirate out there~

If you haven't noticed, this is exactly what Oda's building towards. Besides, Oda makes as much use of this world as he can, and it's almost impossible to track down Luffy on the sea. Hell, they've said twice before that the government would really start looking for them as well. Beyond that, we already know that Luffy's route will put him right at Marine HQ.

Oda's setting this up for the Marines and Luffy to finally clash head on, since up until now they've never had any sort of direct fight with the Marines, it's always been running. By creating a situation where Luffy and the others can't avoid the Marines any longer, Oda's resolving the issue of his conflict with them.
