I first wanna direct your attention to this post I made weeks and weeks ago

hopefully one more week till we find out, then this conversation will end once and for all.

I seen countless of these tread popup ever since like...forever. It time we put this tread to rest!!! Woot!!!

But I'm still gunning for my team battle.

what I want to see is a Luffy, Zoro, Sanji teamup agianst Lucci, Kaku, Jayabya. It makes for an interesting fight. It also seem quiet possible too. For the first time in a major battle, ALL strawhat are gather so closely to each other. Team up is very possible.

Nami & Usopp.....vs.....Karifa & Kukurou

Oda isn't into fights like that though. He likes to seperate his characters and fighting out so as to develop them indivudally, be it in strength or otherwise. Besides, seeing Usopp's development in this coming battle is either going to be amazing or complete trash, but given Oda's working at a serious Usopp, I'm sure we'll get the former.

How would you know?
This arc clearly express the important of fate in namaka, more so then any other arc. They wouldn't be going after Robin if they didn't have complete fate in her. Oda may very well throw you this curve ball to catch you off guard. He likes to do that. As I said everyone is together in a central location this time, both the strawhat and CP9. It very possible for a team battle.

The level of action this upcoming battle is simply not enough for a 6 one-on-one battle. It should be a Battle Royale!

Every arc has been about the fate of Luffy's namaka, starting with Nami and continuing. Hell, the whole fight with Croc had just as much, if not more, importance about a single person with an immense weight on their shoulders and Luffy's insane willingness to offer assistance to them.

yes firendship is the main theme of this manga, but not since the water 7 arc has the Strawhat pirate has come so close to complete collapse. With Usopp leaving and the Robin's betray, the internal conflict near ripped our favorite group of pirate apart. They couldn't fight to thier fullest strength cause they're plague with self-doubts. But now, since discovering the truth, they are stronger then ever. A little tragicy made the group stronger then ever. That why I think that a team battle is very possible in this arc.

I also thought Zoro and Luffy working together to breaking thur the aqua lugina wave is a hint of this... well just see I guess.

just a note for all who forgot, Zoro Flying blade attack was orignally called 36 Pound cannon (Sanjuuroku Pound Hou), it can be power up 2 more time, to 64 pound Cannon (with 2 swords) to 108 Pound Cannon (all 3 swords) since he first used it agianst the flashing gun dude in the sky island. That why luffy got the number 108 from. So it not random. Also as you know Luffy has Gomu Gumo no Cannon too, thus, the Seige Cannon Attack.

I would like to take this time to rub in your face that I'm right and your wrong. Although my prediction for the team battle was off. At least I thought it would be a team battle. I rule. Doesn't that only make sense, since there's like 9 battles and that'd take way too long?

Except for the fact that the matchups are still in the air.

Usopp and Zoro running away from the bad guys together doesn't count as a team battle.

Oda already screwed with the fans by faking his matchups, there's nothing to say he won't do it again.

Besides, Kaku and Jyubia are completly against fighting together, soon as they get a chance to split up, they will.

yeah, probably there will be a change of matchups. i dont think Sanji is fighting Kalifa, unless they discover she is a man, or something like that. I think nami's fighting her, cause Oda won't waste sanji, making he fight the weakest one. perhaps sanji will show some more knife fighting against kumadori's hair? who knows. The Ussop-Zoro X Kaku-Jyabura matchup seems promissing too, but i dont think they will fight together. Nothing is decided yet, I doubt there will be team battles. i think they will be 1x1 fights like in every other main OP fight. and Luffy and Lucci's fight will probably be after the other fights finish.
