Thread: Do you think the Straw Hats' new ship will be Pluton?

Franky is probably going to build the new ship, do you think that it will be Pluton?

I personally think/hope that it looks like an ordinary ship, but Pluton is built into it as a "secret function" and only Franky and Robin know about it. Kind of like how Franky's cybernetic body almost has a dimensional pocket, because he keeps pulling out more and more robotic parts and functions from his body and you're like "Where the hell is he storing all that stuff?" It could be the same for the boat where it's a Merry sized boat but secretly it's also Pluton.

Pluton is way too powerful for them to have now, that thing had the capability to destroy entire islands. The blueprints for pluton were destroyed anyway and since nobody read them (robin was the only person who had the ability to) we can assume it wont be Pluton.

True, but how do you know that he didn't memorize the blueprints?

And I don't think it would be way too powerful for them to have now, since you wouldn't find out that it's Pluton until way in the future when they actually need to use it. Like if there was just a small hint that it was Pluton now when they get their new ship, a passing comment Franky makes to Robin or Robin makes to Franky, and then later on in the series when they're about to get pwned by the Marine armada Franky looks at Robin and says "We have to use it" and Robin says "It has finally come to that..."

He destroyed the prints so that no one could obtain them ever again, yet you think he plans to re-write them again so he can get robin to read it?

Pluton is too powerful for them now, and by the time it would have any actual use to them without overpowering thier crew it would be useless. For Pluton not to overpower the crew they need to be able to take down ships by themselves (ala Mihawk), so having something like Pluton then would be basically pointless. I also think it's safe to assume the ship they get now will be the one they use until the end of the series and will be at least on par with Gol D Roger's ship.

Right now, Giving them Pluton would be overkill. And that just ruins series. Look at DBZ. It lost it right after teh Cell Saga.

DBZ lost it after the freeza saga

it's a ship blueprint so any shipbuilder can read it, what only robin could read is the poneglyph, i'm not sure myself what it contains but i think it's the location of where they keep the weapon or the original blueprint...before it was stolen (pluton's blueprint, not sure about poseidon), passed on from generation to generation and finally given to franky that is..... franky could've remember some of it, but I doubt that he remembers all of it and give the SH pluton, most likely a ship with some feature of pluton, based on what franky still remembers or a similar ship like roger (the blueprint might still exist in the warehouse, who knows??)

i see that he doesnt want to make something so dangerous and put it in the hands of stupid ppl like the leader of the CP9 but he kept it until it looked like the bad guy was going to get it. its also possible that it wasnt the real blueprints. he did burn it before the two could possibly confirm that it was the real blue prints... so i think that it will either show up later on or he will have memorized it... and he can make luffy's ship with pluton improvements and not tell anyone... so they wouldnt need to use it until they absolutly had to. i just hope they somehow incorporate the going merry into the new ship

If Franky joined, he'd make a batallion of Battle Frankys. Simple as that.

my theory is, that they'll resure alot of parts from the going merry, creating going marry 2.0!
