Question about Bellamy, at Mocktown (spoilers).

So...why didn't Luffy and Zoro fight back when bellamy was beating them up? I saw the reason Zoro gave, but didn't quite get it.

Wow. Blackbeard clearly explained why there was no reason to fight back if you were paying attention, which I can't remember right now so I'll get back to you on that one.

He did give an impressive speech about how pirates with dreams own and all, and he said Luffy and Zorro won that battle, but I still didn't quite get why they won, and why they didn't fight.

Because Luffy and Zoro consider fighting for such a stupid reason to be a bad thing. They'll fight when it matters, but for something as stupid as insults and laughing, it's not worth their time.

And they won because they showed themselves to be better men by not fighting, instead of just giving in to petty emotions.

Hahaha ya pretty much.

And you can pretty much tell Luffy lost interest in the fight before it started. He was gonna fight till Bellamy said this was gonna a test. You could tell by Luffy change of expression that that's when he wasn't gonna fight cause he had nothing to prove to him.
