Thread: Is Luffy and Ace biological brothers?

I was wondering this since it has been confirmed by Saul that all D's are relatives....

and A PRIORI luffy and ace are blood related, but we can't be sure for now...

According to what we know so far, yes. Until Oda says otherwise there is no reason to asume that they are not related by blood.

Well, I think the main obstacle to Luffy and Ace being real brothers are that their names are completely different (OP apparently DOES observe some conventions here - Nico Robin's mom is named Nico Olvia.)

True, but pirates usualy have nicknames. They hardly ever use their full names.

yes and in One Piece brothers not having the same name is a common thing. Ace and Luffy are the same except one is smarter than the other. they both like to eat a lot.

You know D. could be their family name...
However, it's not that important to the story whether they're biological brothers or not.
