Hey, they know each other. Luffy said that when they were kids he always got his ass kicked. So they were raised together. That doesn't mean they are related but being so similar causes us to think that way. But Ace is a narcoleptic.

I doubt Oda would get into a relation that much, I mean to actualy just make them halph brothers or a secret, or something, I think they are blood related it's not such a big deal

I thought it was widely accepted that "D" was the family name of the family Luffy is from. So if two people, who look the same, have the same family name, and refer to each other as brothers, they are "probably" closely related.

That's hardly widely accepted, as I just heard it for the very first time. But anyway, the mystery of D. and the relationship of Luffy and Ace will most likely be disclosed later on, but whether or not Luffy and Ace are really blood related doesn't seem like an important issue. It might be an important issue if Luffy's grandfather really is Gol D. Roger, but if not, the fact that they grew up together is more important than whether or not they are blood related.

They seem to be blood related. They both look and act alike except ace is more mature.

I would think the fact that Luffy has stated about Ace: 'He's my brother!" and Ace has stated on several occasions: "Thanks for taking care of my little brother," would pretty much have settled the "issue," but I guess there are some people out there who just won't believe anything they are shown/told.

    Example:
Zoro: This sword was given to me by my sensei after his daughter and I made a pact to see which one would become the world's greatest swordsman.
Doubters: But, how do we know that that's actually Kuina's sword? And why should we accept that Zoro is doing this because of a promise? And how do we know he's the "real" Roronoa Zoro? And why does he wear that bandana? Is it to hide a tattoo of the Marines? Is he really a spy sent to take out the Straw Hats crew?

*eye roll* Some people are so silly, really.

This is really stupid you know. Why does every simple thing that's mentioned in OP has to be taken deeper into thought. I mean you might as well read Macbeth and try to solve the murderer yourself. That's how pointless this thread is.

It's plain and simple he said there brothers, alright no twist no nothing. Stop taking this futher then it needs to be.

Aren't all the threads like this? Pointlessly lengthening a simple question into a meaningless debate of whatever (whether the points of argument are on topic or not). Typical geekiness.
