Well tell me if this sounds rational people well the fruits are fruits correct( yes captain obvious) Then why dont peopel just plant them and make a Devil Fruit tree haha that be kewl everyone becomes rubbermen, smokeweilders, sand masters, pyro kinetic people.


One fatal flaw if they could plant it why havent they already >.<

It probably is possible to grow devil's trees, but just extremely difficult and possibly not something which any mere mortal can achieve (lol reading too much Greek literature). I think the marines might manage to do it after lots of research and therein lies a possible arc.

Oh that's good thinking. By pointing out that no one has ever been known to have planted a devil fruit, you've helped validate the theory that devil fruit don't occur in the same way regular fruit do, because if they did people could farm them. I guess it has to be a mutation that won't reproduce.

However it's still possible that someone might show up with a tree in the future, so nothing is guaranteed. But it's always good to line up speculation with facts.

WHO IN THE WORLD WOULD WANT TO REPEAT THE SAME GOD DAM FRUIT OVER AGAIN SO THAT YOU CAN EAT ONE OF THEM...

devil fruits are the fruits dat are hated by the ocean.... (i know this.. i read it somewhere )... even though it was possible to grow, wouldn't it fail? (cause its an enemy of the sea)

good idea ayato. If it does have to do with the lost civ. maybe thats what the D. stands for too. Like devil fruit. Dumb theory on my part.

Maybe its like plants on earth. They can't grow under any conditions and need a certain island thats, lets say, winter on a winter island to grow the devil fruit that aokiji ate or summer on summer island for the suna suna fruit.

I was wondering, what happens when a DevilFruit user dies?
Does the Devil Fruit just disappear since its eaten by the user who died?
If it does, then that means that the number of Devil fruits keep decreasing?

Or does the Devil Fruit suddenly manifests itself in another fruit?

One possibility is that Devil Fruit IS a fruit, but doesn't contain any seeds. There are real-world examples of this (bananas, for example), although it generally only happens with human-cultured plants.

I think someone mentioned it before that when a DF user dies, the DF "tree" will pop up another one, and that there wouldn't be two of a kind at the same time. Not sure where this guy get this idea though, might be from one of the sbs corner.

why didn't someone try to plant DF? maybe because there's no seed?

also i've been wondering with the idea that DF came from the lost kingdom, assuming they do came from there, then why did they got wiped out by the WG? if everyone just eat one DF certainly one of 'em will get the logia, and something like eneru's power is enough to beat anyone or even everything as he has proven.....or maybe the DF shows up after the kingdom fall down??

one theory i like (which i got from an anime, cant remember which one) is when a DF user dies the DF fruit grows from the dead body. that would explain the limit of the amount of fruits to one of ech type and explain why the DF's keep popping up from out of no where.

i imagine people say that the devils fruits are random because no one has classified them yet since they are so rare.

i wouldn't expect the transformation to be quick, perhaps when they die it takes a while for the DF to grow and by that time the body is already buried or tossed aside somewhere. if that happens then everyone wouldnt know where these DFs are comming from; although, i would expect the WG to know though, they seem to have exparimented with the DFs. perhaps the marines with DFs werent the first ones to have thier power, when the the old users were slain the the WG harvested their bodies for the DF and gave them to the current users. Of course thats all just my crazy theory, but i think it sounds good, dont you?
