what amazes me is that the WG is 800 years old... governments almost never last that long especially when they involve 160 countries...

And I agree with StealDragon here, it's amazing that a government can last for 800 years. Makes you wonder if there's some kind of "secret" involved besides the poneglyphs.
Unless, of course, the ONLY thing that can stop the World Gov't are the poneglyphs. But that's just IMO.
