It is because we want to think Saul is Luffys grandfather. And now we are trying to figure out why Luffy is so small.

looks like luffys gradfather is saulo cause,kuzan(ao kiji) had trouble with him in the past so most likely he is luffys grandad and not gol d roger gol d roger surely is somehow related to him but dont know how.
