Thread: Luffy - Gold Rogers Reincarnation

Just a thought: Luffy is Gold Rogers Reincarnation and that Dragon is a prophet preparing the may for the new Pirate King: Luffy!

I wonder if Oda even believes in reincarnation?

nah, I doubt oda would use something as simple as that. but good thinking

perhaps Gol D. Roger had a devil fruit ability that alowed him to force his soul in to that of another person, and upon his death his soul split and small bits of it were transfered into all the ppl with D has thier middle initial.

or perhaps his will was rencarnated within those with the middle D initial.

or perhaps he developed a machine from the 100 years history that rencarnated his will to the middle D ppl.

something like that could explain the middle D connection

I like the theory but, Aokiji pretty much clinched it for me when he looked Luffy in the eyes and said "I've had dealings with your Grandfather before..." not to mention Luffy freaks out when Aokiji said it. Your theory is elaborate, but the one we've all come to realize is slowly being validated, Luffy is Gol D. Roger's grandson. And it might not be next chapter, it may not even be 200 chapters from now, but Oda will say it in plain terms eventually. That's my bet anyway.

And in the last chapters, you can see Robin talking to a giant who says the D is something that everybody in his family has. It is maybe like a surname, since Luffy and Ace don't have the same surname (Portgas and Monkey).

You say that as if it was impossible. It's a manga. Of course Luffy's dad could have been a nobody. And Oda wouldn't even have to make an attempt to explain it. We'd still eat that shit up. What a strange excuse.

(if you guys own the one piece vol.1 like i do.......there is a story at the end which shows that Oda originally intended Luffy to have got his hat from his grandad.......but he later changed it and introduced Shanks!
