imo Luffy and Roronoa Zolo sounds the best
saying Roronoa Zoro makes me think of that movie "The mask of Zorro"
in the same time, i think zoro's character come from zorro's.....

Uhhhh, why would the extremely-faithful [other than filler] Toei adaptation incorrectly name the protagonist as "Luffy", if his name were "Ruffy"? Jeeze, this is like those stupid "Aerieth" and "Aeries" arguments from the 90's. There's no "th" sound or "L" sounds in the Japanese language, so verbal exceptions must be made. Hell, at least they take the time to say "Luffy" in the anime, as opposed to being lazy and saying "Ruffy".

btw, i'd also like to say, in japanese the ru/lu is usually translated as lu, whereas ro/lo is USUALLY translated as ro, hence:
