It's all about the Sanji. Gentleman are good things.

Whee, my first post. Hope no one dies 'cuz it ends up too long. Bah, I'm bored.

SPOILERS NOTE: Maybe this is obvious, but there are spoilers in this post. Beware.

I generally like all of the Strawhats, as they each have a certain role they play, and play it well (kudos to Oda).

Luffy: On the surface, he seems like your average idiot. And a lot of the time he is! But while this serves as comic relief he is extremely genuine; sometimes he's not being stupid, he's just being very simple and straightforward. "Okay...so all I have to do is kick his ass, right?" Most of the time he fails at his "Captain duties" but Oda shows that a true captain is one who: 1) never abandons his nakama and 2) can make those tough decisions during times of crisis. In these two details I have never seen him fail (he sure blunders a lot, though). He thinks with his heart over his mind (and stomach over all else). Luffy rocks.

Zoro: He's high on many people's fav chars, and admittedly he's one of mine too. Often he comes off as cold and serious, even distrusting (like when Robin first joined). This may be because of his past, a childhood friend lost and a lifelong dream promised, but sometimes he is the mature one, the voice of reason and calm. Of course, this is offset by the fact that he has absolute zero sense of direction, and he's constantly bickering with Nami (money issues, ordering him around) and Sanji (probably just the alpha male type thing, and how Zoro treats everyone *including girls* the same), so we can still use him for comic relief unlike Robin. He also enjoys sleeping a lot...however, unlike carefree Luffy, he is serious about training and becoming stronger, and is also the best friend you could have once you've gained his trust. A very straightforward character, no gimmicks or secrets, and I like that about him.

Nami: I used to dislike her quite a bit, but meh, the Strawhats can't go anywhere without her, so might as well accept her. Often times Nami is the only one with her head screwed on properly, before Robin comes along she's the brains of the group, and a sweet navigator. Of course, like all characters she has a weakness, which is obviously her love for money (partly not her fault, due to events with Arlong). I think if Luffy and the crew hadn't helped her out wasting Arlong she'd still be a two-timing...woman, but once she saw how much they cared about her she became a lot more likeable and loyal. Sometimes she's funny when she deals with Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji because she has very little patience, and brushes poor Sanji off like a fly. Unlike Usopp she is not self-conscious about her lack of supreme combat powers, she seems to accept her role as navigator and at times co-captain. Not that I think girls should be weak, but perhaps she is more comfortable than Usopp due to this fact.
