Yups... they destroyed Drum Island... thats what made Wapol Run away from his own country...

Looking back at it now...those arcs (drum arc, Arabasta, Jaya) were damn good. But these last couple haven't been as great imo. The Skypiea arc was like filler in manga form, and CP9 is being drawn out for much longer than needed (and isn't anything incredible). I did really like the Davy Back fights tho, and the Usopp vs Luffy thing. I just hope it doesn't stay like this. Actually, I think it'll get good again with the black beards and stuff, I'm pretty optimistic about it. I'm interested to see what the crew will do next. But really, CP9 and Skypiea, they just don't compare with the previous arcs imo.

Sorry I have to disagree about the CP9 arc which I think is very good but perhaps the weekly releases takes the sting out of it for most people who read it week by week. The previous arcs, for most had already been scanslated when they started reading One Piece so you could read it volume after volume which keeps you entwined in the story. However reading one chapter week by week makes it seem like its being drawn out longer.

CP9 is a good arc, simply because the villians are interesting. The last two major villians [Crocodile and Enel] were Logia users. Hell, this the first instance where a Zoan-type is the main villian.

However, I prefer the OP characters that simply lack Devil Fruit abilities, as they are the most interesting to me.

Another interesting part, is the SH is facing the Marine directly...
I cant wait to see whaz coming after this arc....
And slowly but sure, OP is peaking up to reach its climax....

Didn't Oda say that OP was halfway to the end? If that's really the case, then it'd be too soon for a climax.

i remember him saying that.... or at least there i saw a lot of discussion that said that oda said (^^) that OP was in the middle of its story (more or less) and it was around 300 chapters...

but well, i'd like between 600 and 800 chapters (1000 seems too much for me, as the story can't be stretched too long obviously.... and it will be a lot to buy later -_-" lol)

Yeah, I also heard about it from people discussing it, so I really don't know how accurate the info is. But hey, 1000 chapters of One Piece sounds good to me, provided Oda keeps them great and stuff.

1000 chapters ?? That time Oda would be a gradpa already ;p
