Thread: WTF is up with her?!

I've been reading the manga all the way up to the current scanlation, but something has benn bugging me for the last 2 hours. My question is, why does robin want to die so much? Its not to save her friends, so it must be something else.

She probably feels its her right to die because she hurt a lot of people in her life. If she lives she will cause more people pain and suffering. You know the usual the only way to right the wrongs I have committed is to give up my life.

Yea, i agree with Swimmerdude, she has had a haunted past of her destruction and probably wants all that to end, and not hurt luffy and his crew, who've been so nice to them. Yet i don't understand, why she wants to die when she hasn't learned all of the world histories yet. Perhaps she's just really depressed (like the potato in the Zoloft commercials) about the trouble she's caused. Maybe in later chapters, she'll explain more, and more of her past beyond the destruction of the marine ship will be explained, it could be almost anything

out of guilt and fear is cause she wanna die.
I think it difficult for her to accept being forgiven, after all she done.

she fears buster call from her past. she know how powerful and evil it is. and they threathen to use it on the straw hat. she fear they would die from it. she only wish the best for them

yes, i know exactly what u're saying...its driving me crazy the way she acts to luffy when he's there to save her....at one point, i almost throw my laptop >_>; if i was luffy, i would be like DIE ROBIN, I'LL KILL U MYSELF!#(!$*@$#&#$!!~!

AM I wrong, but is her flashback already ended? If not- we cant tell the answer already and we need to wait. Maybe they will show us how exactly Buster Call was like, and without a doubt- it was a hell!

well, u know, she's stubborn and she's never had any friends.. she does not understand why they wanna help her since she's so evil and a threat to the whole world because of her knowledge... I think she'll maintain her act until Luffy is really pissed off and tells her all the things we feel for her and that it's ok because they are nakama and the Buster Call is nothing and she must come back and bla,bla and they'll take her by force anyways, even if she doesn't give up and says that she loves the crew and really wants to come back... so, in the end, it'll be ok and you just have to understand her position... I love Robin anyways..

THe robbin flashback hasn't even BËGUN

Robin blames herself for everything. She was seen as a devil even as a child, and just because she existed the buster call was used on her island, destroying it completly. Beyond that, she's also ended up destroying every single group of people she's ever worked with. After years and years of bringing destruction on everyones head but her own, not only causing her pain, but reaffirming everyones belief that she's a demon simply by existing, she just wants it to finally end.

Of course, this will be the second time Luffy will have prevented her from choosing when she dies when she wants to. And somehow Franky's going to get it through her thick skull that she shouldn't wish to die just because she exists.

I think Luffy don't have to say anything more. Just 1 of his sentence is enough:" If you want to die, Robin.... Die when you're with us"

The way she acts just like Nami in the past.
I was really piss off when I saw what she said to Luffy when he came to rescue her. If I was Luffy I'll slapp her ^^
