Orphans?

I've just noticed like most of you have, that most of the crews parent's aren't really mentioned much.

Usopp: Mom died, Dad's a pirate
Nami: Parents died in pirate invasion
Zoro: Not mentioned
Luffy: Not mentioned except for his grampa(Gold D. Roger?)
Sanji: Not mentioned
Robin: Parents died in buster call I believe. I'm really not sure correct if wrong.
Chopper: shunned by his parents.

Yea, it's a common element among his characters. I've always seen it as his forward style of writing, he doesn't like to dwell on his character's pasts much if at all, so when he gives them a past, he always ends it in a way that his characters aren't held down by it in any way, they only have the choice of moving forward.

Thats true...but!

ussop: i guess he grew up alone.
Nami: Raised by bellemare. (and Arlong, that bastard!)
zoro: seemed to be raised by koinas dad.
luffy: spent a lot of time with shanks.
sanji: raised by zeff.
robin: i think raised by her aunt...?391
chopper: kind of raised by hiruluk.

while almost none of them were raised by their parents, most of them had some kind of parental figure. Im really waiting for the Luffy flashback. I want to see him and ace fighting when they were young. And the mystery of luffys lineage.
