Thread: well i watched the onepiece anime today...

actually I never wanted to watch the onepiece anime because i had some pretty low expectations for it (lower then dirt), but i was staying up late checking out some porn on my comp when I suddenly noticed onepiece was playing on my T.V. So i decided to do up my pants and actually check out the anime of one of my favorite mangas. That will be the moment i regret for the rest of my life.

Before my eyes could focus my ears were crammed full of the shittiest shit that could ever be shit. from what i gather this noise was the theme song, THE THEME SONG?! i thought theme songs were supposed to pump you up and get your ready for the show, but this crap made me want to pump my stomach and slit my wrists. Who made this song? it sounds like a bunch of hobos rapping a cat. I quickly pressed mute until the show started.

the rest of the show wasnt to bad, animation was ok, voice act ok, but the voices didnt fit well i thought, especially sanji's holy crap! ppl said he sounded like a french dude from the bronx but i really couldnt picture it, no i wish i never knew. but the biggest disapointed ment is the censuring. in one scene they'd have everyone shooting at each other then it would go all white and the next scene would be everyone passed out on the floor...WTF is that!! but all in all it was a horrorable expience that has scared me for life, so now im going to all porn i can in order to forget this whole shitty thing.

i watched this in canada so i dont know if its different any where else (i imagine its pretty good in japan)

And another one,that thinks that 4kids version is the real and only anime of OP...
Try to dl original japanese,or at least german.Although german version censors few things,it is still,zillion times better than 4kids version,and voice acting is awesome(especially smoker.THAT is how the voice of chain-smoker should sound)

4kids version sux, thats a given (even though i haven't watched it, thank god)

the original version is way way way waaaaaaaay better it'll get you hooked.

that makes me think, do the ppl from 4kids actually believe what they put out is good? after all the cutting and pasting and censoring and crappy voice acting and over all crapping on everything possible-ing. do they actaully sit back after hard days work of butchering and say to themselves "now this is good television"?

if thats the case they should be shot and everyone in the families shot! pour clorine in their gene pool!

4kids is well...for kids. Its meant for the people who wake up saturday morning to watch cartoons like i did and so many others did when they were in elementary school. Its not for fanboys or fans of animation to enjoy. Thus they do what they see fit to make it appealing to the kids and the parents alike. tis the reason why 4kids should be banned from anything besides pokemon.

4Kids didn't think about its viewers when they bought the damn licence for OP. As you said, they buy shows for little elementry school children. OP is far beyond childish hero and villian drama. In short, OP is for sophisticated anime fans rather than for the average preschoolers.

but op's happy go lucky attitude makes it seem like a kid's show

Actually,it is...If you dont take it seriously,and use it only as enchanment with reak anime,it can be most funniest thing ever...Rofl,I still cant see Sanji with lollypop without laughting...
However,If you have warched JUST 4kids verion,it makes me really sad(and I pity you)

I just notice as for the first time in weeks I woke up early to find my sister watching 4kids. Is it me or shouldn't they rename it (once again) to 4girls. I mean I saw my sister watching some dumb show, asked her what it was and she said................Bratz. Fuckin Bratz a doll turned into a show, wtf is happening to this world. Then to add to it she told me about shows like Mew power and Winx Club. At that moment I lost all respect towards saturday morning cartoons. What happened to the good ol days where they actually used to show guns in cowboys shows and marvel type shows. Now there showing shit like Bratz. I can see why we got all this violence and killings and rapes going on. It's because of shows like fucking Bratz. And then they try to ruin OP. Fuck this era of saturday morning cartoon, FUCK IT TO HELL.
