Thread: will this be one of the last sagas?

once enies lobby is finished, they will still need to find a new shipwright and ship. THey will probably achieve that objective at the end of enies lobby though. So water seven and enies lobby are technically the same saga

I think you misread what I said....when I said "you know it's going to happen" I meant Luffy becoming the Pirate King. For the sequel series I just said he could do that.

I thought I remember, from some interveiw with Oda, him saying that he wanted to go for like, 90 volumes. I don't know what volume it's up to now, but I'd say that's still a whole lot of manga left.

There was 40 volumes so far, and its hard to imagine that there will be more than another set @_@

So if he's been at it since 1998, and he wants to go up to 90 volumes...that's about 10 more years of One Piece...I'm fine with that

if it drags on for too long, it'll be bad for one piece eventually. some of the older fans may get bored or become too old for it, and there may not be many younger fans because there's so much happened already and they won't be able to follow.

I will stay true to One Piece no matter what. By the way. Isn't spiderman(and other Marvel comics) like 20 or 30 years old and there are still new volumes and lots of people still buy it.even though Dragonball has stopped several years ago I know there are still people who are starting to read it now. no I don't think One Piece will become unpopular. Did you know that 13% of Japan has a One Piece manga and 8 % have it compete up til now. I don't know if it's true.....but that would be a lot of comics

Anyway I love the plots in One Piece they aren't so damn stereotype and I love the way he takes things from different cultures and makes a fictional extreme out of them.
Water seven was a great One Piece Venice. With all the masks and the waterstreas and so on....

i read in one of those translations (the questions/ mini interveiew that the author answers at the end of the chapter that scanlations don't include)that Oda wants to "write to the bitter end."

I dont mind it going for another 10 year and doubt most ppl willmind.. in japan manga is not only seen buy teens only... alot of adults see them also.....
