On the wikipedia.com article on Klabuuterman its says the klabuuterman is a talented musician. I hope they can revive the G merry some how. Then luffy can have the musician hes been craving since as long as i can remember.

A klabuuterman is the spirit of a ship. It may help the crewmates of the ship is well cared for. Ussop saw it on skypeaia. Thats why he was going crazy when luffy wanted to ditch the g Merry.

One German dictionary gives the meaning for "Klabautermann" as "protective spirit of a ship."

On a side note, since everything in the One Piece world has a psuedo-logical explanation I'm not sure if the whole Klabautermann thing is supposed to be a metaphore and maybe Usopp hallucinated and repaired the ship himself, or if such a thing exist.

I think it's likely that they'll end up with a "Going Merry Mk II" or something to that effect, and it'll have been built by Iceburg and the remaining members of the Gareera company, just as his mentor Tom built a ship for Gol D. Roger. Carrying on the legacy and whatnot.
