Don't think there's much rejoicing from fans of the 4Kids version. Not everyone has access to the original episodes or the drive to download fansubs if they do.

Personally, this is just another pitfall in the anime world. Between fansub fans who bitch and moan at the "lack" of the VA's talent and the lack of financial support due to said "fans" (Shaman King: Unedited anyone?), it's a wonder anime has survived this well in the mainstream.

While I have my own issues with some of the voices (Sanji's heavy Brooklyn/New York accent being one of them) and edits ("pop-gun"...'nuff said), I honestly believe that bitching about these minor issues is insane. Yeah, Luffy & the Strawhat crew don't sound like I imagined them to, but the same could be said for the Japanese voices.

In my head, Luffy always sounded like an older "Shortround" (No time for love, Dr. Jones) from Temple of Doom...

i think that other than sanji and ussop and the whole plot thing 4kids did a much better job than expected, HOWEVER if them throwing away the license leads to the chance that it will be RE-licensed by some oter company and re-done so all the ORIGINAL plot stuff is edited back in then i would jump at the chance for this to happen. After I heard Sanji's voice I secretly started praying for this type of thing anyway because it was like they found the best rock band in the world then proceded to replace all of the vocals with the sound of nails on a chalk-board, next they took the bassist and broke his guitar then forced hi to still play with it, after this they took the drum set and poked holes in all the drums and took off the symbols and finally they changed the name from something cool to something along the lines of "The happy bunnies group". That is my opinion of how they messed up some of the amazing aime one piece

Well, I looked into this, and it seems to be true that 4Kids is taking One Piece off. At first I was skeptical because during one of the 4Kids commericials, they were giving sneak peeks at the Alabasta episodes. But they're a screwy company anyways so I'm not surprised in the least.

And on a side note, They're taking Mew Mew Power off too? Shoot, 4kids drop series like their going out of style. I mean, they dropped Kirby, Shaman King, Ultimate Muscle, and F-Zero. Not that I really care, since their dubs sucked (except for Ultimat Muscle, that show was funny as hell).

Both Shaman King and Kinnikuman II ran their course. Except oddly enough the Japanese and Enlgish Kinnikuman II had different endings, from what I've been told. In English Mantarou wins over Kevin Mask, but in Japan Kevin Mask won!

Well, yeah they showed the complete series, but they wouldn't even show reruns for those who missed episodes, like me . Though I shouldn't have said they dropped UM and SK, my bad.

Well that's where the anime stops. The manga goes much further, and last I checked is still running in Weekly Playboy. So it's not the end. Also, like usual, the Kinnikuman II manga is much bloodier/darker than the anime. When I was in Hiroshima last year, I read an issue where they were wrestling on a giant spine that was made up of the bodies of dead wrestlers, including main characters.
