Thread: what's the soru in chapter 388 they were talking about?

is the soru the secret behind the CP9's power? Blueno said, "how'd he manage to move under the soru in such a short amount of time" or something like that. what is it?

Soru i just one of the powers they have it moving very fast fomr one place to another by kicking 10 times before actually moving something like that...

It's the high speed movement technique of Rokushiki the shigan is their finger stab, and the tekkou is their iron man defence, rankyaku is the air slicing kick and gepoutsou is the jumping around in mid air. I'm missing one and I can't remember what it is right now.

did they actually reveal all six forms of rokushiki yet?

i recall tekkai, rankyaku, soru, geppou, shigan, but i dunno what the last one is.

Kami-e: it is like a combination of soru and tekkai, and acts like mantra in order to read and avoid all of the opponent's attacks. Blueno used it on luffy the first time they met, I believe

Rokushiki 六式 "Six Styles"

Tekkai 鉄塊 "Iron Mass"
Of course this is when they make their bodys solid and able to withstand strong force. The second kanji is "katamari", the same from "Katamari Damacy".　　Tekkai also sounds like it could mean "iron (sea)shell", which I think one member made that allusion once.

Kamie 紙絵 "Paper Picture"
As posted above, used for dodging. They literally look like they are a piece of paper flapping around in the air.

Soru 剃 "Shave"
This is when they kick their legs many times instantly to gain unseen speed. I guess it looks like they shave the air around them, or something.

Geppou 月歩 "Moon Step"
They kick the air to keep themself airborn. I've seen this in the scanlations spelled as "Getsupou", however the "tsu" sound is supposed to be a "small tsu" and is a device used to make double-consonants, so the "ppou" should be accented more. Although technically "Getsu Pou" would still work since "getsu" is one reading of that kanji for "moon", but in compounds it usually becomes "ge..."

Rankyaku 嵐脚 "Storm Leg"
Their kicking attack.

Shigan 指銃 "Finger Gun"
Finger able to pierce like a bullet.


Luffy figured out how to incorporate "Soru" into his attacks, but using this Rokushiki seems to speed up his metabolism immensly. His increased body temperature would explain the "steam" and afterwords he was incredibly low on energy and needed to eat. Awesome.

And He still have another gear which I really want to see what it is.
