Thread: who is Luffy father ?

I'm thingking of Luffy father since it never been explained clearly before??? Anyone can answer my question?

i'm pretty sure, gold d roger, the pirate king is luffy's grand father, but who are the parents of luffy, that's a tough question !

Im think his parent left him when he was a little - remember flashback with Shanks crew (like duh, of course you remember) ? There was nothing about his parents, and he was like 7 years old, so that could mean he is a orphan (like everyone most strawhats), and IF (but only IF) his parents would appear, they wouldnt be any avarege guys.

But come to think of it- I dont think we will be able to see them.

I think its Oda san... he travelled in this dimension and is telling his son's story(maybe some dimension travel fruit)...

i only remember this bit when luffy ate the devil fruit his father found with his mates, so i'm assuming that his dad was a unknown pirate working with a small crew?

You know... maybe Luffy didn't really have a father!! Maybe he just popped out of the earth!! Or maybe it could be that he is an orphan and Shanks and his crew watch over him

I keep having this feeling that Shanks is his father always looking after him from afar but i could be wrong.
