    Rubber Fruit.

It doesn't say how Giants pass on genetically, maybe the size is limited by the mother. But I'm not going to ponder further, yet, cause it'd just get creepy.

Btw, about the giant-heritage of Luffy or something, how is he supposed to be a direct grandson of a Giant? We all know this is an imaginary manga and all sorts of things deemed impossible could actually happen, but come on, there's still some point of realism in it. I'm not saying that it is a hundred percent impossible, I'm just saying that it is highly improbable. I mean, how can a giant downsize into a normal sized man in a span of two generations? The only possible way that it would happen would be if the giant mates with a normal sized girl... no wait, that's not possible either. So, how?

.................................................. .....if that's the case, Oda-sama must have terribly loathed giants.

All of you have seen Whitebeard right? He seems to be a normal human with "giantism" Plus some of the people from Franky's crew are larger than the normal human would be. I'm just saying is if Saul found to pass on his gene to his offspring A: The gene could of been dormat for one generation and then reappeared in Luffy giving him this Str. or B: The giantism gene is split in half everytime it merges with a human cutting down the appearance and str of a character, Saul would be full blood, his son or whatever would have one half of the blood, and then Luffy would have 1/4 of giant's blood in him so it would change his appeance. Kind of like how heritage works.

Also for Redsliver Devil's fruit gives you the powers of the fruit why would it have any other bonus? Then you'd have to explain why just about every other character that has eaten a devil's fruit that we've seen in battle so far doesn't get some other physical enhancement along with the fruit power up. It doesn't say anything like Rubber fruit and +4 str or whatever. Then why wouldn't the bara bara fruit increase Buggy's speed or do anything else for him besides allowing him to seperate?

Ayato_kamina that does seem possible since every character that had been training before seems to have some str beyond that of other characters, but you can't say that Zoro's physical str can match up to Luffy's. I'll have to read some chapters from the past to back up my reasoning for this and the giant gene theory.

Zoro and Luffy did fight once. Zoro didn't seem to have attacked Luffy with his swords directly, so we really can't tell who would have won. Anyway, it was a contest of strength, and they seemed to be equal.

Roger's spirit, manifested in the will of D., popped up both Luffy and Ace in the form of recklessness. Shanks seems to have it too, which may also imply that Shank's may also be a descendent of Roger, but I doubt that Shanks is Luffy's dad, since Shanks was only known in Luffy's hometown for the few days since he arrived there. If he was Luffy's dad, then he and Luffy would have had more reputation than what was expressed. If Luffy did move out of his birth place as a baby, and was adopted, then it may be possible that Shanks could be his father. Who knows? In the world of ONE PIECE, if it's possible, it happens.

Sauro is waaaaay to old to be Luffy's Granddaddy. He's a Giant, who's old, who lived for more than 200 years probably. That's no Grandfather. That's an Ancestor.

Wow, I forgot Zoro was that strong.
What amazes me even more is how that even apply's to Luffy's heritage?

Good Point Ayato_kamina I completely forgot about that scene, I guess you could say Zoro is just about as physicaly strong as Luffy.

Oh and pentaelemental when did they tell us how old Sauro is? Also how could Sauro not be Luffy's Grandfather? Aokiji had trouble with Luffy's grandfather, he said so himself, and then in Robin's flashback you see him fighting Sauro who is also a D. Unless they show another flashback of Aokiji fighting another D it's easy to link together these events meaning Sauro is Luffy's grandfather.

So what if he has fought another D. and they just don't show it? What happens then?
Dear cousin choppitychop89, you were a good relative, though I hardly knew ye.
