omg what a nerdy topic just read and be happy...I mean seriously your talking about a situation where one guy can cut through 100 people with "3" swords another guy can kick 300 meter fish into the air and your complain cause a rubber man can smash rocks....-_-
I've seen it all next your going to wonder what robin does with all those hands.^^

i dont think yall are right abu that... i think luffy like Zoro is just incredibly stong on his own... hes a pirate and his devil fruit makes him strtchy... it multiplied his strenght... think of it like this.. if hes just a normal weak ass kid (how old is luffy.. hes gotta be at least 20 right???) how would his body survive the impacts when he breaks rocks and what not. think about it... the rubber body multiplies his narutal strength by that lovely physics equation Force = Mass * Velocity (the rubber gives him crazy velocity and when he makes himself into a screw (twisting his arms ie Gomu Gomu Rifle) just make the velocity that much more dangerous)... thats why luffy is so strong...

This is kind of off topic, but force is actually mass times acceleration, not velocity. An object can have velocity without any forces affecting it.
Actually hes is TECHNICALLY correct as the force = mass times acceleration is an incorrect formula when working out damage from a punch. You use force = momentum over time. Which derives to force = mass times velocity over time.

If I remember rightly that only holds true for calculating the force of the object at the point of impact, and we're also not taking into account the momentum of the object on the receiving end, generally most of the time people are more interested with the change in force of the object where acceleration being the change in velocity over time is substituted in for velocity over time.

It's been a while since I looked at physics or mechanics.

Luffy's power is part of the laws of anime/magna so that's how Luffy and Zoro can do all those crazy ass shit and how Nami can control the weather

Actually the forumla does take into account the momentum of the other object (which is repersented by time). Of course the object with higher mass will generally win in these instances but thats life. Physics and martial arts are always good together if you know what your going on about.

Zensunni sums it up perfectly tho. Anime/manga have their own laws of physics which are often different to our own. I.e. force = emotion*training*importance.

ArialAce if your gonna delibertly double post at least make both posts the same.
